Melbourne musician Aaron Schembri, who has been touring with Ross Wilson and The Wiggles has recently collaborated with Melbourne FC legend and now musician Russell Robertson to help raise awareness for ‘Fight MND’.
‘Life Is Just A Game’ written by Aaron Schembri is set to be released on June 13th which also coincides with the AFL Big Freeze Round on Queens Birthday.
“I’ve had this song in the can for a few years not knowing what to do with it and I finally found a reason to release it. I called upon my buddy Russell Robertson and asked he would think about singing on it… It was a no-brainer.” Aaron says,
It became a fitting homage to his former Melbourne coach and now close friend Neale Daniher. Over the past few years, we have all seen and admired the endless work that Neale and his team do for Fight MND in raising awareness about Motor Neurone Disease.”
“Music is a truly powerful thing and we are forever grateful to be able to help out and do our part by raising awareness for Fight MND.” Says Aaron, “We want to help raise awareness and funds for MND, leading people to purchase their Big Freeze 8 Beanies.” (available at www.fightmnd.org.au and/or at Coles, Coles Express and Bunnings stores nationwide)
The Official Film Clip was filmed on the ground at an empty MCG, a familiar home for Russell Robertson and Neale Daniher.
