Join Wildlive Founder Alex Pinte to officially present their groundbreaking stage, showcasing the fully solar-powered stage solution, including innovative sound systems developed by French startup PikiP Solar Speakers; the first low-consumption solar-powered systems that uses up to 10 times less energy than a normal PA without compromising on listening quality.
Kim Churchill, MzRizk, Wilson Blackley, Charlie Needs Braces and The Stamps will perform as part of the net zero concert series featuring Free All Ages live performances as part of The Solar Sessions on Friday 11 October at The Collingwood Yards.
Ahead of the showcase, Wildlive in partnership with VMDO, is hosting a panel; Sustainable Choices, Financial Voices: The Economic Case for Greener Events with industry experts discussing innovative approaches to help reduce environmental impact while amplifying the power of music. Alex Pinte will be joined by Berish Bilander, Chief Executive Officer from Green Music Australia, Tara Benney, Director from Strawberry Fields Festival, Jess Flee, Co-founder and Managing Director from Green my Plate, and Jen Kyna, director from Earthed Consulting. Together they will discuss the economic impact of implementing more sustainable practices and how that can influence the decision making and challenges for event organisers, scenarios for greener events, and from the sustainable services provider’s perspective.
Having already provided their solutions to events in Australia such as Queenscliff Music Festival, New Year’s Eve on the Hill, St Kilda Festival, Sydney Road Street Party, Byron Music Festival, Laneway Festival Sydney, Teneriffe Festival and more, Wildlive specialises in off-grid capable, staging, lighting and sound solutions, powered by low consumption renewables. Wildlive presents The Solar Sessions, a net zero concert series across Australia featuring Kim Churchill, “Working with Solar Sessions has been completely enlightening. Getting a lot closer to the carbon neutral line is very doable, and this crew is getting dang close. We’ve been putting on beautiful shows out in nature and bringing together communities in a new way. It’s really exciting!” says Kim.
The philosophy is simple: The starting point of renewables is reducing energy consumption. That’s what Wildlive focus on. First, reduce, then adapt the right renewable power source, and monitor. “Wildlive was born with the dream to create memorable events in remote parts of Australia while limiting our footprint and raising awareness about environmental challenges. We couldn’t find the ideal solution, so we created one, explains Wildlive Founder Alex Pinte and “We realised that we often ask the audience to make efforts and change their habits to make events more sustainable. We believe our responsibility as organisers is to make things as smooth and enjoyable as possible for our audience, without forcing things. That’s our approach.”
Whether you’re a seasoned event organiser, an artist looking to make a difference, or simply passionate about sustainability, this engaging dialogue promises to inspire actionable change and shape the future of eco-conscious event production.
