LUCINDA WILLIAMS, STEVE EARLE, “KINGFISH’, LP & KEB MO ANNOUNCE BLUESFEST SIDESHOWS

Bluesfest Touring is proud to announce another four new 2023 tours, on top of the already 7 incredible tours already on sale now! Check them out here: www.bluesfesttouring.com.au

Today’s announcement includes three- time Grammy winner Lucinda Williams, touring with her band on a double headline bill along with Steve Earle & The Dukes. Steve Earle is also a three-time Grammy winner. You may remember their classic albums “Car Wheels on A Gravel Road” (Lucinda Williams) and “Copperhead Road” (Steve Earle) as two of the greatest alt Country/ Americana Albums ever released. Don’t miss this special one-off performance at the Enmore Theatre in Sydney – their first ever coming together to perform in Australia on a truly magical double bill.

The much-anticipated tour of artist LP is coming to Sydney & Melbourne next year! An discovery artist not to be missed – she currently receives around 2 million stream of her songs daily! When you know, you know. You know exactly what LP means when she sings. Without the limits of genre, the multi-platinum singer-songwriter, with more than +2 billion streams to her name, has created a powerful sound and devoted following all her own. LP’s YouTube channel currently receives more than 2.4 million views a day and her songs are streamed upwards of 2 million times a day around the world. Her soulful lyrics can reveal an intimate truth in one breath and swaggerly flip the middle finger the next.

Christone “Kingfish” Ingram is the 2022 Contemporary Blues Grammy winner, and after an incredibly successful tour in 2022 – his recent shows earlier this year in Sydney and Melbourne completely SOLD OUT – he’s back with more Blues for you, this time with headline shows in Adelaide and Sydney. Since the release of Kingfish, his Grammy-nominated 2019 Alligator Records debut, guitarist, vocalist and songwriter Christone “Kingfish” Ingram has quickly become the defining blues voice of his generation. Anyone who was at Bluesfest this year will not forget Christone’s amazing performances, especially when he walked through the crowd to the end of the tent and played from the street .

Finally, five-time Grammy winner Keb’ Mo’, touring this time with his band, will perform one special show at The Factory Theatre, Sydney. With five GRAMMYs, 14 Blues Foundation Awards, and a groundbreaking career spanning nearly 50 years under his belt, Keb’ Mo’s got nothing left to prove. Just don’t tell him that. “I may be turning 70,” Keb’ reflects, “but I’m still breathing and I’m still hungry. I’m still out there going for it every single day.”

All Bluesfest Touring artists will be playing Bluesfest Byron Bay next Easter Long Weekend, from Thursday 6th – Monday 10th April 2023.
