NATIONAL PIES’ HOTTEST PIE HUNDRED COMPETITION IS BACK

National Pies’ Hottest Pie Hundred competition is back – and this year, it’s better than ever with some hot new pie-tunes to satisfy your summer cravings.

This year’s competition will see entrants vote for their favourite pie song for their chance to win 100 delicious National Pies and 100 beers. The Spotify playlist will include 100 pie-tastic tunes, each filled with the same flavour and joy as a bite of a National Pie.

National Pies CEO Geraldine Tebbutt said the team has genuinely enjoyed launching this much-loved competition once again.
“We were really overwhelmed by how many people loved our pie themed playlist in 2024. Thousands of people entered the National Pies competition and voted for their favourite pie song. Now we’re excited to continue the tradition, and we hope pie lovers across the country will enjoy the new Hottest Pie Hundred playlist for 2025!” Geraldine said.

“So many fans get a real kick out of listening to our playlist during summer road trips, on the beach, or at their backyard barbeques. But of course, the best way to enjoy the tunes is while you’re snacking on a National Pie!

“While this year’s list still includes the classics everyone knows and loves such as Don McLean’s American Pie, we have added some fun new pie songs such as Berry Pie from Dolly Parton, Shoefly Pie by Zac Brown Band and It’s a Wonderful Day for Pie from the cast of Family Guy.”

The compilation also includes three songs each from The Beatles and NRBQ along with double entries from John Fogerty, Frank Sinatra and the Australian folk band The Wayfarers. There are six songs about cherry pie, seven songs relating to apple pie and four different Pie In The Sky tunes.

Who will be the winner of this year’s Hottest Pie Hundred? Could it be one of our very own Aussie artists such as Boom Crash Opera with Piece of the Pie, or Daddy Cool with their tasty tune Cherry Pie?

Just for the record, Australian Musician’s fave Pie tune is this classic from Scottish band The Sutherland Brothers titled The Pie!

To enter the competition and vote for their favourite pie song, participants will be required to visit National Pies on Instagram or Facebook and follow the respective channel. A link will be provided to the Hottest Pie Hundred Competition where entrants can cast their vote for the tastiest pie tune and automatically be entered into the draw to win 100 National Pies and 100 beers. Voting is open from 20 December 2024 until 19 January 2025 for Australian residents aged 18 years or older and tagging friends is welcomed.

National Pies is celebrating National Pie Day on Thursday 23 January 2025 where this year’s Hottest Pie Song and the winner of the competition will be announced by 5:00pm across all social channels.

National Pies products are available in every Australian city through Woolworths nationwide, selected Coles supermarkets, and many independent retailers such as IGA and FoodWorks. They are also served in selected Bunnings Café & Cart locations and Muffin Break stores.
