The album, their 14th studio release, is their first in 16 years. ‘A FRAGILE THING’ is available to stream now and the band today revealed the rest of the song names for the record at http://www.songsofalost.world/ and on their social channels. The full track listing is below.
Robert Smith says of ‘A FRAGILE THING’ “A Fragile Thing is driven by the difficulties we face in choosing between mutually exclusive needs and how we deal with the futile regret that can follow these choices, however sure we are that the right choices have been made… it can often be very hard to be the person that you really need to be.”
Initially formed in 1978, The Cure has sold over 30 million albums worldwide, headlined the Glastonbury festival four times and been inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame in 2019. They are considered to be one of the most influential bands to ever come out of the UK.
‘SONGS OF A LOST WORLD’ was written and arranged by Robert Smith, produced and mixed by Robert Smith & Paul Corkett and performed by The Cure – Robert Smith: Voice / guitar / 6string bass / keyboard, Simon Gallup: Bass, Jason Cooper: Drums / percussion, Roger O’Donnell: Keyboard, Reeves Gabrels: Guitar. The album was recorded at Rockfield Studios in Wales.
Robert Smith created the sleeve concept, and Andy Vella, a long-time Cure collaborator, handled the album’s art and design. The cover art features ‘Bagatelle’, a 1975 sculpture by Janez Pirnat.
‘SONGS OF A LOST WORLD’ will be released as a 1LP, a Miles Showell Abbey Road half-speed master 2LP, marble-coloured 1LP, double Cassette, CD, a deluxe CD package with a Blu-ray featuring an instrumental version of the record and a Dolby Atmos mix of the album, and digital formats.

JULIAN JAMES feat Charlie Musselwhite and Hussy Hicks ’Catfish’ (Single out Oct 11)
Award-winning Melbourne musician Julian James has taken the classic Muddy Waters tune, Catfish Blues and dialled up the arrangement to offer a fresh, upbeat Americana twist on the 1950 Delta blues track. Re-naming his rendition simply as Catfish, the single will be released across all digital platforms on Friday, October 11, 2024.
Produced by the ARIA Award-winning Matt Fell, this track features the legendary Charlie Musselwhite on harmonica and backing vocals from the Hussy Hicks, with Fell on bass. With its dynamic new energy and innovative take on a blues classic, Catfish promises to breathe new life into a beloved favourite.
Says Julian “Catfish has always been one of my favourite Muddy Waters songs. I wanted to give it my own spin and infuse it with my own energy. “Having Charlie Musselwhite play on the track is a dream come true for me, especially since he’s played with Muddy Waters himself.”
Julian James has been around Melbourne’s live music scene since before he was allowed to drink in bars and has released four well-received albums to date, receiving a Chain Award for Emerging Blues Artist of the Year at the Australian Blues Festival in 2020.
Whether it’s with his band, The Moonshine State or as a solo artist, Julian’s shows have been known to embody a fusion of high-energy, whiskey -drenched Americana Hill country blues.
And now, he hits the road in duo mode, with his vibrantly talented wife, Beck Kate on percussion and backing vocals.

OCEAN GROVE ‘Last Dance’ (Single/Video) ‘Oddworld’ (Album out Nov 22)
A stirring and textural sonic wonderland, the brand new single LAST DANCE from Melbourne Oddworld collective Ocean Grove takes an emotive and compelling turn ahead of the release of their upcoming new album ODDWORLD, due out on November 22 via ODDWORLD Records in Australia and SharpTone Records for the rest of the world.
Following on from the nu-metal ferocity of earlier singles FLY AWAY and MY DISASTER, and the sleek yet propulsive melodics of RAINDROP, LAST DANCE is a raw and riveting anthem, seamlessly balancing the vocal stylings of Dale Tanner and Twiggy Hunter alongside an emphatic performance from drummer and producer Sam Bassal.
“We knew this song was going to be a really important opportunity for storytelling,” shares Dale Tanner. “We felt the impact of how powerful the music was before any lyrics were written and this warranted an equally powerful motif. We all sat down in the bunkbeds of the farmhouse we had converted into a home studio, with a setting sun and determination to not leave the room until we had an arrangement of words proportionately epic. LAST DANCE emerged as an apocalyptic symphony of sorts. It grapples with this idea of facing the death moment, whether that be of the planet or a loved one, and how we can be presented with one last opportunity for a loving embrace, and a conscious presence in that confronting reality. It’s the anthem for any listener to find solace and deeper meaning in the inevitable impermanence of everything.”
A collection of songs that captures the band’s sonic roots as well as their fierce evolution over the years, ODDWORLD emerges instantly as the definitive Ocean Grove record; one that pays homage to the delectable diversity of 2017’s The Rhapsody Tapes while also spanning their entire catalogue and steering into exciting uncharted territory. Produced by Ocean Grove’s own Sam Bassal along with creative and performance contributions from studio members Luke Holmes and Running Touch, ODDWORLD is exactly as its title suggests: beautifully chaotic, sonically kaleidoscopic and wholeheartedly one-of-a-kind.
Ocean Grove are the enigma of the heavy music landscape, blending elements of nu metal, hardcore and alternative rock to create a sound that is uniquely their own i.e. Oddworld Music. An eclectic trio of misfits spawning from Melbourne, Australia, Ocean Grove recently announced their signing to SharpTone Records and the launch of their own label, and have risen to prominence in recent years with their dynamic and genre-defying approach to music. Wearing their DIY work ethic on their sleeve, the band have self-produced every release to date, including the upcoming 2024 studio album ODDWORLD.
From their 2017 debut album The Rhapsody Tapes, which debuted at #5 on the ARIA charts, through to their sophomore 2020 release Flip Phone Fantasy and 2022’s Up In The Air Forever, both also landing in the ARIA Charts Top 10, Ocean Grove have cultivated resounding acclaim for their groundbreaking craftsmanship and bold experimentation. And since their inception, the group have captivated audiences with their high-energy performances, visually striking aesthetics and infectious melodies, earning them a devoted legion of followers around the globe. Their unforgettable live show has found them in hot demand with tours alongside Limp Bizkit, August Burns Red, Crossfaith, and Don Broco, and appearances at the likes of Download Festival Australia, Good Things Festival and UNIFY Gathering.
Ocean Grove recently supported Polaris on a massive regional Australian tour, and also just wrapped a huge headline run of their own over the weekend, supported by Japan’s Paledusk and Sydney’s Inertia. The band will next hit the stage at the upcoming Big Pineapple Festival in Woombye, Queensland.
LAST DANCE is now available on all major streaming platforms.

OCEAN ALLEY ’Tangerine’ (Single)
Globally renowned Australian rockers Ocean Alley today return with the expansive new single “Tangerine”, the first taste of music from the six-piece since 2022’s critically acclaimed album Low Altitude Living. Coming off-the-back of 47 shows around the world this year, the band are returning home to close out 2024 with a string of festival dates.
Inspired by the breathtaking landscapes band members Baden Donegal and Lach Galbraith encountered moving from Byron Bay to Western Australia, the expansive and inviting “Tangerine” captures the essence of a sun-drenched summer day. From its opening toasty riffs, the track blends Southern-rock vibes with a classic touch of Ocean Alley’s psychedelic flair; Baden’s honey-rich vocals effortlessly washing over the cinematic production. Teaming up with production mastermind Nick DiDia (Pearl Jam, Powderfinger, Rage Against The Machine) for the first time, the swirling melodies, dreamy harmonies and vintage guitar tones evoke a feeling of drifting through a golden sun-lit haze. WATCH THE VIDEO HERE
On its creation, Baden shared “We drove across the Nullarbor with our wives and dogs. The long straight roads, the isolation and the different landscapes were intense and amazing. There was such contrast between the red dirt and crystal blue ocean. Seeing parts of the desert and sunsets on that commute, the sky turning orange, or tangerine, is what really inspired this song.”
The accompanying video was shot on location during Ocean Alley’s groundbreaking tour of North America – on the drive from their sold out show in Denver enroute to Calgary – in a town called Billings in the state of Montana. Directed by Jamieson Kerr (West Coast, Lapwing, Drinks & Cigars), the clip applies the song’s feeling of openness and remoteness into a new context; equally picturesque and underscored with intrigue, lathered with a sense of freedom and reckless abandon.
“Tangerine” follows 12 months of staggering growth for Ocean Alley, whose unmistakeable influence continues to inspire new audiences around the world – having now amassed over a billion catalogue streams. Over their 2023/2024 Australian headline shows alone, the band sold more than 65,000 tickets. Plus, with extensive touring across North America and the United Kingdom/Europe, they have respectively sold 7,000 and 10,000 more tickets year on year, with 21 of 33 shows sold out or upgraded overseas this year.
Ocean Alley have truly emerged as one of Australia’s most beloved musical exports, never wavering in their dedication to their craft, and genuinely grounded by their passion and desire to make music. Across four critically acclaimed albums, the six-piece – comprised of Baden Donegal (vocals), Angus Goodwin (guitar), Lach Galbraith (keys/vocals), Mitch Galbraith (guitar), Tom O’Brien (drums) and Nic Blom (bass) – have unearthed a formidable global following, and with 9 accredited singles of gold or higher in AU & NZ, 1 gold accredited album in AU & NZ in tow, this is just the beginning as their stadium-sized ambitions are poised to leave an enduring mark on the music landscape for many years to come.

SUPER AMERICAN EAGLE ‘Cover to Cover’ (Single)
Fans of Melbourne psych wizards Super American Eagle are being treated to studio versions of two of the bands most favourite and unexpected covers, released as a double A-Side called Cover To Cover out, now through Cheersquad Records & Tapes.
The trio featuring luminaries Brent DeBoer of The Dandy Warhols, Dave Mudie from the Courtney Barnett band and Bob Harrow of Immigrant Union are renowned for dropping left field covers into their live sets and on Cover To Cover they deliver their own sludge rock takes on “Breathe” by The Prodigy and “Groove Is In The Heart” by Deee-Lite.
Known for ergine detours into noise, psych and sludgy dank, herbal grooves, Super American Eagle give the same treatment to these two classic 90’s pop tracks. “Breathe” originally released by The Prodigy in 1996 from their The Fat Of The Land album is placed through Super Americans psych rock filter, the thrilling peaks and highs of the original left in tact but this time driven by velcro ripping fuzz bass and Harrow’s coven summoning drawl giving the resulting track a thrilling and menacing edge.
On “Groove Is In The Heart”, the global disco pop hit originally released at the dawn of the 90’s by New York dance outfit Deee-Lite, Super American Eagle take the classic via a sludge driven intro until Harrow breaks out into his very best Lady Miss Kier and the band fall into to the original spirit of the track, chosen by the group for its timeless bassline, albeit with slightly more unhinged results.
Cover To Cover drops just as Super American Eagle fly out to the States for a run of October dates with Australian rockers Jet, no doubt ready to win a new legion of American fans with their vital and engaging take on super heavy fuzz rock
Super American Eagle Cover To Cover is out now through Cheersquad Records & Tapes
Super American Eagle debut LP is also out now in ltd edition black and white split colour, black 12″ and digitally through Cheersquad Records & Tapes – HERE

THE WOMBATS ‘Sorry I’m Late, I Didn’t Want To Come’ (Single)
Chart-topping, Platinum-selling indie heroes The Wombats return today with melodic new single ‘Sorry I’m Late, I Didn’t Want To Come’ and accompanying music video.
Two years since scoring their debut UK #1 album with Fix Yourself, Not The World, The Wombats are back and bigger than ever. ‘Sorry I’m Late, I Didn’t Want to Come’ delves into lush tropical pop, falsetto funk and futuristic orchestral textures as lead singer Murph details, but also comes to terms with his anti-social side.
Murph says on the track: “‘[It] is about constantly defaulting to a ‘Lone Wolf’ mindset, and what the real life consequences of that may be.” This relatable sentiment is reflected in the lyrics: “Sorry I’m late, I didn’t want to come, It’s not that I hate you, I just hate everyone.”
Since they emerged as leading lights of the late-‘00s indie rock scene with 2007 debut A Guide to Love, Loss & Desperation, Murph, bassist Tord Øverland Knudsen and drummer Dan Haggis have maintained an incredible upward momentum. 2011’s electro-flecked second album This Modern Glitch made them Top Ten regulars; 2015’s third Glitterbug saw them embraced by the TikTok generation, with ‘Greek Tragedy’ a viral hit several times over.
By 2018’s Beautiful People Will Ruin Your Life they’d stepped up to arenas and 2022’s Fix Yourself, Not the World consolidated their unstoppable rise with the band’s first Number One album, seeing them reach over 2.5 billion streams. Headline shows at Crystal Palace and The O2 followed amid the band’s biggest touring cycle so far, taking in arenas across the globe and culminating at Reading 2024, where the band headlined a rammed Radio One tent overspilling with crowds of 18-24-year-olds that remain their core audience twenty years into their career.

MC5: An Oral Biography of Rock’s Most Revolutionary Band
by Brad Tolinski, Jaan Uhelszki, and Ben Edmonds
This week, Hachette Books releases MC5: An Oral History of Rock’s Most Revolutionary Band by Brad Tolinski, Jaan Uhelszki and Ben Edmonds. This riveting oral biography of the proto-punk Detroit rockers MC5, is based on original interviews with the band and key members of their inner circle.
About the book:
Few bands have dared to ignite a revolution through their fusion of activism and art like MC5. Managed by the charismatic radical and hippie spokesman, John Sinclair, MC5 wasn’t just a band; they were a thunderous proclamation of dissent, amplifying the voices of the marginalized long before it was fashionable. From championing racial equality to rallying for cannabis legalization, they fearlessly thrust their beliefs onto the world stage. For their efforts, the rabble-rousing musical arm of the White Panther Party, the scourge of J. Edgar Hoover’s FBI and other defenders of public decency, were often beaten with clubs, threatened at gunpoint, tossed into jail, and even unceremoniously dumped by their record company, right as their album was storming up the charts—and all while the Sex Pistols were still on training wheels.
What has been lost amidst this notoriety is MC5 itself, a band worth remembering not because they were bad boys, but because they were so damn good. In MC5: An Oral Biography of Rock’s Most Revolutionary Band , music journalists Brad Tolinski and Jaan Uhelszki invite readers to reconsider this legendary group. Centered around a series of interviews with MC5, their manager, and their inner circle—many of whom are no longer with us—that Tolinski and Uhelszki inherited from CREEM Magazine founding staffer and Mojo’s US editor Ben Edmonds prior to his death, this book presents a genuinely candid, funny, and moving portrait of rock’s most uncompromising and articulate band. MC5 also features a virtual “who’s who” of 1960s rockers, including Iggy and the Stooges, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, promoter Bill Graham, John Lennon, the Jefferson Airplane, and political firebrands like Abbie Hoffman, Jerry Rubin, Tom Hayden, and Black Panther Eldridge Cleaver.
As innovative, insightful, and inspiring as the band itself, MC5 is a fitting testament to the legacy of these iconic rock pioneers—told in their very own words.
Find it at Hachette and on Amazon.
LUCA GEORGE ‘Before You Hold Me’ (Single)
A lot of the same qualities that helped Sivan rise to the top are prominent in George’s music: sugary vocals, natural charisma, and melancholic yet hopeful pop aesthetics. Rolling Stone Magazine Luca George is an enigmatic alt pop artist who brings a distinctive sound that evokes emotion through a strong sense of relatability in his music.
Today, he releases the first taste of brand-new music; the raw and emotive ‘Before You Hold Me’. Revealing his deepest thoughts, Luca reflects on the vulnerability of the desire for a more ideal body, the challenge of embracing one’s own beauty, and the cycle of rejection that breeds self-doubt and feelings of unworthiness of love.
Before you hold me, I need a better body, I need to stop believing that I’m pretty when I’m not. ‘Before You Hold Me’ is among Luca’s most intensely personal works. Co-written with Gabrielle Aplin and Joseph Wander (Lewis Capaldi, Cian Ducrot, The 1975) who also produced the track, the burgeoning artist captures the intricate physical and mental journey people go through before allowing someone into their lives.
Luca George says, “I’ve suffered with body dysmorphia my whole life, I have all of these rules for myself before I let someone hold me whether it’s a hookup situation or dating or just being vulnerable with someone. This song is all the stuff that I do, the whole process before letting someone hold me.”
Layered with emotion, the official video unveiled today, was shot in Los Angeles, produced & directed by Landon Juern and Luke Shaw, for Altar8 (best known for their work with David Kushner).
‘Before You Hold Me’ arrives as Luca George prepares for his first international show opening for Peach PRC at her sold-out London show at Electric Brixton in London on Oct 4th

MAGGIE ROGERS ‘In The Living Room’ (Single)
GRAMMY® Award-nominated songwriter/producer/performer Maggie Rogers shared her new single, “In The Living Room.” Released via Capitol Records, the track marks her first new music since the April 2024 release of her critically acclaimed new album, Don’t Forget Me. Sharing an emotional snapshot from the days when she was “so young and hungry,” Rogers wistfully sings, “But I will always remember you / When we were dancing in the living room.” She wrote and produced the song with Ian Fitchuk (Kacey Musgraves, Maren Morris), who also collaborated with her on Don’t Forget Me. The poignant official video for “In The Living Room,” directed by Grant Singer (Sam Smith, The Weeknd), brings to life Rogers’ recollections, shifting fluidly between the past and present. Listen to “In The Living Room” HERE and watch the video HERE.
Said Rogers, “I wrote ‘In The Living Room’ in March 2023, a few months after writing Don’t Forget Me. My co-writer/co-producer, Ian Fitchuk, and I were back in the studio and decided to try for one more song. Like so much of the album, it’s a song about the beauty and pain of memory, and the way that interweaves with reality when you’re processing the exit of a person in your life. Ultimately, Don’t Forget Me as an album is about how we remember people, and the stories we tell ourselves in the process of creating new realities.”
Rogers will kick off her first-ever U.S arena outing tomorrow, at Moody Center in Austin, TX. “THE DON’T FORGET ME TOUR, PART II” will include two shows at New York City’s Madison Square Garden (October 19 + October 20) Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena (October 12) and an evening at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, CA (November 2).
Rogers is touring in support of her new album, Don’t Forget Me, which was hailed by The New York Times and Rolling Stone as one of the “Best Albums of the Year (So Far).” Pitchfork said, “The singer-songwriter’s third album is her strongest yet, the sound of a wise, clear-eyed, melodious prodigy coming into her own voice.” The title track, “Don’t Forget Me,” topped Billboard’s Adult Alternative Airplay chart, marking Rogers’ fourth No. 1 on the tally. Vulture and Billboard included “Don’t Forget Me” on their “Best Songs of The Year (So Far) lists. She will perform songs from the album on “Austin City Limits” on October 12th on PBS.
PRESS CLUB ‘Champagne & Niles’ (Single)
With their first taste of new music for 2024, Melbourne/Naarm four piece Press Club independently release ‘Champagne & Nikes’. The track, which premiered on UK’s Radio 1 Rock Show, came to life as a scratchy, bass guitar-only voice memo. Sonically, the band revived the buzz saw guitar tones, moving bass lines and driving drums of their debut LP Late Teens. A song that is about an intrinsically chaotic moment of mayhem. Lyrically it recounts a moment where Natalie and Iain were buying Guinness (the song’s prenatal working title) for the band’s album recording sessions.
Lead singer Natalie Foster recalls the experience, “If I tried to tell you the story of this person’s interaction with the person behind the counter, you’d think I was recounting something from a dream. It was so outlandish and erratic I could barely believe it was happening in front of me”.
As his mania grew wilder the queue for beer grew longer and longer, to a zenith where the spectacle had an impatient audience of thirty, thirsty people. Natalie instantly started writing down lyrics about this vibrant lad’s behaviour in the moment, and by the time the pair were back at the studio, the skeleton of ‘Champagne & Nikes’ was fully fleshed.
‘Champagne & Nikes’ was recorded at the band’s own studio in Footscray with guitarist Greg Rietwyk on production and mixing, before the track was mastered by Kris Crummett (Closure in Moscow, Dune Rats, Currents).
“When we set out writing Champagne & Nikes we wanted to create something that had a similar energy and feeling to some of the songs we wrote when we first started writing together for Late Teens. I think we nailed that intent. It was pretty fun to just blow the barn doors open and get back to the bare essentials of what I think Press Club is.” Press Club bassist Iain MacRae
Press Club have just returned from a month of touring across the UK and Europe. Their fifth tour across Europe, the run included festival spots at 2000 Trees in the UK, Noisehausen festival in Germany as well as Zwarte Cross and Valkhof festivals in The Netherlands. Jumping on support for Spanish Love Songs at two sold out shows in London the tour also included sold out headline shows in Cologne, Hamburg, Stuttgart and Dresden.
At home on the road, Press Club have returned to Australia to support Grinspoon on an eye watering 45 date national Australian tour which kicked off last month and runs through to December.
The music video for ‘Champagne & Nikes’ was conceptualised by the band’s long time collaborator, Nick Manuell. The video highlights Melbourne’s brutalist architecture, some of which has recently been heritage listed. It follows Natalie as she re-incarnates the haphazard nature of the song’s muse.

MISSISSIPPI SHAKEDOWN ‘I Gotta Make A Whole Lotta Money’ (Single)
Well, they say that time flies, but so do aeroplanes, but we digress. It seems like just yesterday “Mississippi Shakedown” delivered their sixth Album “QLD”. Well time has hardly flown and low and behold, “Mississippi Shakedown” have delivered once again.
The new album “PLANT YOU NOW, DIG YOU LATER” has been completed and here’s the first single “I Gotta Make a Whole Lotta Money (and I gotta make it fast)”..
There’s a line in the song, “it ain’t no joke, the piggy bank’s broke”, which all of us can relate to at some time in our lives.
But hey, if we’re takin’ about musicians here, well you’re darn tootin’ right, we’ve sure been down that dusty road many times. Have a listen or check it out on Spotify, Bandcamp, Facebook. It’s a great little groove of a song.

BEN SWISSA ‘Hush’ (Single)
The prodigious musician is fast on the rise having just wrapped up supporting New Zealand’s biggest local artist SIX60 on their sold-out regional Australian tour and Perth singer-songwriter Blake Rose, along with recent performances in Los Angeles, Nashville, New York.
“HUSH” premiered on triple j Home and Hosed this week. It is co-written and produced by heavyweight and highly acclaimed producer Zhone (Charlie XCX, Troye Sivan, Kesha), and recorded in the US and The Grove Studios, Central Coast, with co-production from Andy Mak (Kita Alexander, Vera Blue), Scott Horscroft (Empire of the Sun) and Ben.
Showcasing Ben’s dazzling vocals “HUSH” is about letting go and the joy in living in one’s truth, sonically amplified via the sparse piano-led verse that explodes into a joyously bombastic chorus. Ben explains, “HUSH is about the freedom of being who you are. It’s the “letting go of fear” while expressing your true self: coming to terms with who you are to yourself and to others, being truthful to your desires, dreams, ambitions, and feelings. This can take a different meaning to different people, and that’s what it’s all about… Yelling your truth to the world and embracing it euphorically.”
“HUSH” is the title track from the highly anticipated debut EP due for release in 2025. It follows the soulful debut single “Angel”, which received its first play on triple j Home and Hosed along with spins on KCRW, and the propulsive, sunshine disco funk “Superficial”, garnering strong support across Apple Music, Spotify, VEVO, YouTube and Amazon Music.
“HUSH” is accompanied by a performative self-expressive style music video clip directed by ARIA Award winning creative, Michelle Pitiris, she Is aphrodite. The video concept displays the art and freedom of self-expression channelled through a youthful group of diverse people dancing and having a wild time, feeling joyous and liberated to share their stories and performing the song to the camera in their own unique way, free from judgement. Michelle shares, “Ben’s song instantly resonated with me, moving me so strongly; unlike anything I have heard in many years. I knew I had to make the video for it and fill the screen with the same voltage it sent through me when I first heard it.”

LONELY EMPIRE ‘Like A Misfit’ (Single)
Adelaide’s rising metal/punk act, Lonely Empire, have officially released their debut single, ‘Like a Misfit,’ via Golden Robot Records.
‘Like a Misfit’ is a raw, powerful blend of nu-metal and metalcore, inspired by the struggles of feeling like an outsider. With heavy riffs, relentless energy, and emotionally charged vocals, the song resonates with those who’ve ever felt like they don’t belong.
Lead singer, Lucas Magourilos, shares, “The track is based on my own experiences growing up – feeling misunderstood and like an outcast throughout my school years. It’s about realizing how, in life, you’re often pressured to follow the collective or face being ridiculed.”
The debut single showcases Lonely Empire’s unapologetic sound and their ability to fuse aggressive instrumentals with deeply personal, relatable themes. Fans of bands like Slipknot, Linkin Park, and Bring Me the Horizon will feel right at home in this adrenaline-fueled anthem.
‘Like a Misfit’ marks the first taste of what’s to come from Lonely Empire as they carve out their place in the heavy music scene. With their intense live performances and a message that speaks directly to the outcasts, the band is poised to make a big impact.
More exciting news from Lonely Empire is on the horizon as they gear up for their upcoming releases.

Pre-order/save DANSE MACABRE – DE LUXE Box Set HERE.
Speaking on the new release, Nick Rhodes says: “When we released our Danse Macabre project last year it was born from a spontaneous decision to pull together a record which celebrated the madness and joy of Halloween. In doing so, we unlocked an unexpected box of curiosity and creativity, which led us to reimagine some of our older songs, record cover versions of some of our favourites, and write several new pieces.
This year, the inspiration was somehow still lingering, and I loved the idea of expanding the collection, because we could… Why not add some of the songs that we considered initially now that we had the luxury of a little more time? This thought resulted in another new song, a cover of the ELO classic, Evil Woman, and a remake of New Moon on Monday.
The Danse Macabre De Luxe vinyl box set also includes several additional tracks which make it even more special. This somehow feels like justice for vinyl collectors!”
Duran Duran have also announced a short North American east-coast run, set to begin on 21 October, bringing the legendary, award-winning four-piece to Pennsylvania, New York, Connecticut, New Jersey, Maryland and New Hampshire. For touring information and tickets please visit duranduran.com.
On 31 October, Duran Duran are set to summon all Halloween enthusiasts to celebrate All Hallows’ Eve in style at the legendary Madison Square Garden in New York City. Now a highly anticipated annual tradition, this year’s show will be captured in a multi-camera shoot for later release. In addition, Xerjoff, the leading brand in Italian luxury perfumery, has partnered with the band to become the official perfumer of DANSE MACABRE at Madison Square Garden.
