TEENAGE DADS DROP NEW SINGLE ‘FIND A WAY
ARIA Award-winning Melbourne four-piece Teenage Dads return today with ‘Find A Way’, their first new music of 2026. Written in the wake of frontman Jordan Finlay’s loss of his father, the single is a deeply personal exploration of grief, lost hope, self-doubt and the internal voice that pushes us to keep going.
Drawing on his own experience of loss and mental health, Finlay captures the tension between wanting to give up and finding the strength to persevere. The recurring refrain, “You gotta find a way, you gotta try to stay,” is both a plea and a reminder to keep moving forward, even when the path back to hope is difficult and nonlinear.
Written by the band, produced by Finlay and mixed by Geoff Swan (Charli xcx, Chappell Roan, YUNGBLUD, Caroline Polachek), ‘Find A Way’ builds on a distinctive “synth guitar” technique that blends guitar with electronic textures. The sound has drawn comparisons to early Phoenix, Justice and Tame Impala, and marks a new direction in the band’s sonic identity. Teaser content for the track has already attracted more than 3 million views ahead of its official announcement.
Teenage Dads have released two albums, Potpourri Lake (2018) and Majordomo (2024), which reached #1 on the ARIA Australian Albums Chart and #2 on the ARIA Albums Chart, alongside EPs including Midnight Driving (2023) and My Memento (2025). They have sold out headline shows in Australia and overseas, played major festivals, supported the likes of Dayglow and Franz Ferdinand, and won the 2023 ARIA Award for Breakthrough Artist of the Year.
Meeting at school, bandmates Jordan Finlay (vocals/multi-instrumentalist), Vincent Kinna (drums), Angus Christie (bass) and Connor McLaughlin (guitar) quickly locked on the foundation of Teenage Dads: compact, propellant rhythms, and lyrics that could tug at heartstrings or conjure laughter. They were committed to being a live band first and foremost, and they quickly earned a reputation for ferociously energetic sets, finding them fans across Australia, North America, England and Europe.

ERNIE GARLAND Jr ‘SMOOTH PEOPLE’ (SINGLE)
BUY VINYL VIA BANDCAMP HEE
In a world desperate for a moment to do nothing but catch a groove, Ernie Garland Jr is here slinging for the soul of Sydney, Australia. Formerly of the Sydney-based nine-piece roots-reggae band Kinsky, the man is a master at recreating his inspired life at the oceanside in your mind and heart.
Even as Garland’s What Can I Do – single – continues to receive spins on 2SER, FBi and Triple R, some of Australia’s most prominent radio stations for discovering new music, Garland is now ready to drop his debut album – Dealin’ Out The Healin’ .
“The world was upside down, and I was on the most beautiful sabbatical an artist could wish for.”
Garland’s creative process on Dealin’ Out The Healin’ is full of firsts. “I’ve always collaborated with band members on the songs,” he explains. This time – for the first time – Garland composed on the piano and accomplished the songwriting on his own because he had no other choice.
During Australia’s second pandemic lockdown from June to September 2021, Garland relocated from his spot on the hill above the world-class surf breaks and typically vibrant culture of Bondi Beach to his family home in the suburbs, replete with a granny flat containing nothing but a bed, a piano, and Garland’s small studio setup.
“I spent four months away from the woman who is now my wife and the ocean I love,” Garland recalls. “I lived like a monk, rising every morning to play piano before working on the tunes.” The timing was fortuitous, and the result represents the discipline and focus of Garland’s self-imposed solitude. “It’s all my stuff,” he says, sounding satisfied.
For the massive beat building on Dealin’ Out The Healin’, Garland turned to his Onehunga, New Zealand-based friend Kakhand as his primary source.
“He gave me the foundation to jam out what became the final versions of the songs,” Garland says. The other producer Garland brought on board is Darren Seltmann, co-founder of the globally recognized Australian electronic act The Avalanches. “He took the album track ‘What Can I Do’ from almost being a discard to one of the album’s standouts,” Garland exclaims.
In addition to Seltmann, Simon Kay of New Zealand-based dub reggae band Salmonella Dub, and Spain’s Joan Reggae Drummer, known for his collaborations with Eli Paperboy Reed, make appearances on Dealin’ Out The Healin’.
The solitary environment in which Garland composed his lyrics, combined with the collaborative nature of the productions, makes Dealin’ Out The Healin’ feel incredibly connected to humanity, which is a clue to Garland’s response regarding the rise of generative music.
Garland lays out his take on the state of the current creative landscape with candor: “We are our memory. We are our lived experience. Our minds are not a fucking hard drive!”
“AI couldn’t write these lyrics in a million years,” Garland elaborates, not speaking of himself, but dropping admiration for another artist who might seem unexpected, until you plug in to the joyful complexity on Dealin’ Out The Healin’.
“This was my only thought – apart from it being a masterpiece – when I listened to Father John Misty’s first album again recently,” he says.
Some additional influences that significantly contribute to a comprehensive understanding of the Ernie Garland Jr. sound include soul singer Georgia Ann Muldrow, the late jazz pianist Horace Silver, and iconic yet iconoclastic hip-hop legends OutKast.
Garland adds that he has seen Steely Dan live every time they have visited Australia. Sure, it’s only been twice, but it only took once to matter.
“Steely Dan has been in my life since I was a child,” Garland shares. “It was an emotional experience.”
Just as the perimeter of Garland’s sound wouldn’t necessarily lead one to immediately think of Father John Misty as part of Garland’s creative consciousness, neither would Garland’s wholly holistic way of looking at and living his life lead one to immediately think of President Barack Obama’s marriage as a part of Garland’s creative consciousness either.
As it turns out, the reasoning behind the lyrics of his previous single “Baby Mama Drama (Obama)” is so simple, it feels silly to have contemplated otherwise.
Garland just liked the rhyme.
“I had no idea there was even speculation about their marriage when I wrote it,” he says, referring to an oft-repeated conspiracy theory that Garland is lucky to have not been privy to until after he composed the song. He is smart to use it to his advantage now that he is.
“I just used it because his name rhymed, and the fact that, despite being a politician, he carries himself really well to the point where you think he’s almost perfect and never has to deal with the life issues us mere mortals have to deal with,” Garland explains, before adding, “…and it’s funny.”
It’s groovy, too.
It is not hard to imagine Barack and Michelle digging the holy hell out of “Baby Mama Drama (Obama),” and getting a laugh out of it at the same time. The story of Garland being alerted late in the game about how his fun songwriting experience touched on the cringiest fringes of American right-wing political discourse is now its own unexpected tale to tell, too.
The song features a vamp on its outro that must be heard.
“It’s a thing of beauty,” Garland enthuses about singer Arica Jackson’s contribution to the track. Garland booked Jackson and fellow singer Terrie Lynne into Brooklyn’s Bunker Studios on a short break from their professional vocal work on Broadway.
It was a massive score for Garland to get A-list talent like Jackson and Lynne on Dealin’ Out The Healin’, especially with no time to spare.
“We only had a couple of hours to work with them,” he remembers. “We had a live audio-video feed, and just got as much done as possible. Even at three AM my time, it was a very cool experience.”
One look at Garland’s deep bench of jazz, reggae, and hip-hop influences should flesh out his point of view for anyone hesitating to press play at this point: Miles Davis, Action Bronson, MF Doom, John Coltrane, Madlib, Bill Evans, Bob Marley, Burning Spear, Fela Kuti, and Chronixx close the deal.
Garland’s patience is a virtue that has enabled Dealin’ Out The Healin’ to fulfill its potential as the superior-sounding product it is. “This is the first studio project I undertook without any need to rush,” Garland says. “I got exactly what I wanted without compromising.”
Garland understands the stakes. Like, what if Barack and Michelle really do hear Dealin’ Out The Healin’?
He’s ready. “Once it’s out, it’s out forever,” Garland concludes.

JENNY SCHEINMAN SHARES “SO MANY MOONS”. SECOND SINGLE FROM FORTHCOMING ALBUM, ONE HUNDRED YEARS TODAY, DUE NOVEMBER 6 VIA ROYAL POTATO FAMILY FEATURING BILL FRISELL, JULIAN LAGE, CARMEN STAAF, TONY SCHERR, AND KENNY WOLLESEN
This week, Jenny Scheinman shares “So Many Moons,” the second single from her forthcoming album, One Hundred Years Today, out November 6 via RPF Records/Royal Potato Family. Among the seven-track collection’s more delicate moments, the song evokes a pastoral beauty often present in Scheinman’s most striking compositions, closing the record with a sense of gentle, prayer-like introspection.
“‘So Many Moons’ is a requiem, a sign-off, a goodbye, and a mourner’s kaddish, but also a love song and a lyric of gratitude,” says Scheinman. “It’s dedicated to our dear colleague Hal Willner whose parents escaped the Nazi concentration camps, and who created an unforgettable body of work as a producer of music and musicians.”
The music on One Hundred Years Today was inspired by Scheinman’s grandmother, a Jewish Palestinian pianist who eloped with her violinist husband in the late 1920s. Together, they traveled across Europe, teaching and performing amidst a rapidly deteriorating geopolitical landscape. As danger escalated in the late ‘30s, their network of fellow musicians scattered, leading the couple to flee to Brooklyn, where she taught piano for the rest of her life. Scheinman recently discovered a box of postcards sent to her grandmother with detailed accounts from friends during that time, leading her to draw emotional parallels between the years leading up to World War II and the present moment. She imagined the music flowing like a secret code passed between generations, a means of creating connection in times of upheaval.
“Music has long been a medium for the transfer of codes and as such, it is part of our survival story,” says Scheinman. “The phrase One Hundred Years Today is really another way of saying eternity. Every song is like a message in a bottle to a future generation, and at the same time the opening of a message from 100 years before.”
For the album’s recording sessions, Scheinman reconvened the superb, sensitively attuned ensemble first heard on her 2024 album All Species Parade: guitarists Bill Frisell and Julian Lage, pianist Carmen Staaf, bassist Tony Scherr, and drummer Kenny Wollesen. The chemistry among the six musicians allowed them to express the intentions behind Scheinman’s compositions, which speak to the solace that music and creativity offer as lifelines of hope and even as means of organized resistance in times of struggle
“We’re living in a time when it’s so important to continue making music and art. The endeavor continued through the horrors of World War II and will continue 100 years from now, no matter what is happening,” says Scheinman. “This album is a love letter to all the musicians who keep creating at any given moment.”
Scheinman will tour in support of One Hundred Years Today, offering a sneak peek of material from the album at Barbes in Brooklyn, NY, on October 29 (sets at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m.), followed by a three-night Midwest run over release weekend, including a stop at The Green Mill in Chicago. Additional dates will be announced shortly.
One Hundred Years Today is available November 6, 2026 on Vinyl, CD and Digital formats. Pre-order available HERE.

REDFREYA delivers the second release on Pattn’s “Repetitive Nature” label.
The expansive sound of “Different Now” lands 21st October during the peak of the Orionid Meteor Shower.
Pattn continues to roll out the vision for his new label “Repetitive Nature” with its second release “Different Now” from electronic artist Redfreya.
A conceptual platform conceived by Newcastle producer Pattn, “Repetitive Nature” explores the intersection of sound and vision; the stories it tells unfold in an intentional way, with releases tied to celestial dates and moments. On October 21st, the Orionid Meteor Shower signals the arrival of RNA002 by Redfreya. A cosmic light show provides the backdrop for this deep, explorative cut that leans into Redfreya’s melancholic vocals.
It’s emotional yet punchy, poignantly played by Redfreya as her final track when she closed the recent label launch party at fabric. In Limbo label founder, and long-term Bloop Radio resident, Redfreya is a regular feature on lineups across London and Berlin alongside contemporaries such as Sasha & Digweed, Artbat, and Damian Lazarus; with releases on labels like CHORUS and Reculture, her immersive and introspective take on techno and electronica means her arrival on the label makes total sense.
“When I first heard ‘Different Now,’ I was completely captured by the emotion in the chords and the sound design around the vocals.” Says Pattn. “Redfreya and I are closely aligned in many ways, not just in the music we play & make, but also in how we perceive the world around us. I’m grateful to have Redfreya alongside me in Repetitive Nature and to be sharing this piece of music with the world.”
“Different Now” represents the broad musicality of the label; more than just a home for DJ tools, there’s a belief underpinning it that art has a value, and that its meaning should be celebrated. “Different Now” is a very personal record, shaped by some of the experiences and emotions of my past year.” Redfreya explains. “It was a period of loss, grief, distance, heartache and a lot of change — living between different countries without much sense of a permanent base gave me a new perspective on things. I realised that when life changes, you change with it, and eventually you have to decide what no longer belongs to you.”
Paired with visuals from Toronto-based designer Liam Warr, whose work focuses on geometric abstraction, distortion and glitch aesthetics, the artist explains that working with Repetitive Nature “felt like a natural fit”. Describing the project, Liam said “we both have an appreciation for geometry, maths and art. I enjoyed having the freedom to interpret Redfreya’s track in my own style, particularly its atmospheric and melancholic feeling, which I wanted to reflect through distortion and shifting geometric forms to match with the pace of the music.”
Making the visual component a crucial part of the release was deliberate; the label was set up to be more than a vehicle for his own music, but as a way for Pattn to support the community he’s built around him. “He’s also been one of those people that always remembers to cheer you on and celebrate your wins – he encouraged me a lot with production too” says Redfreya. “I’d sent him a playlist of demos simply to get his thoughts, without knowing at the time that he was planning to launch Repetitive Nature. Soon afterwards, he called me and told me he’d fallen in love with “Different Now” and that he couldn’t stop singing it around the house. Everything about the timing felt strangely aligned: his connection to the track, the beginning of the label, and what Repetitive Nature was starting to represent. It felt like the right place for it to land.”

BIG WARM BED RELEASES NEW SINGLE ‘JUNE BUG’
OUT NOW ON DANCE TO THE RADIO
WATCH ‘JUNE BUG’ (LIVE AT THE CALM FARM) SESSION VIDEO
Leeds-based musician Jacob Andrews, under the moniker Big Warm Bed, today releases his new single ‘June Bug’ – a melodic, uplifting indie-rock track that balances hazy guitars and an easygoing groove with an infectious, hook-led chorus. The release is accompanied by a live session video, filmed at The Calm Farm, a striking mid-century studio space in Leeds.
Speaking about the meaning behind the song, Jacob shares “it was inspired by a note my mum wrote to me, my brothers, her best friend, my aunties and uncles and her partner to read after she had died. In the section directed to her friend, she thanks her for being a supportive friend and giving her the strength to go through with things that she otherwise would just bury her head in the sand and ignore.”
LISTEN TO ‘JUNE BUG’ | WATCH ‘JUNE BUG’ (LIVE AT THE CALM FARM)
Big Warm Bed is the culmination of Jacob’s lifelong immersion in Leeds’ music scene. Having played in projects alongside members of Adult DVD and Mercury Prize winners English Teacher, studied production at Leeds Conservatoire and struck up a chance friendship with Far Caspian frontman Joel Johnston at a house party, which led to touring adventures across North America, Jacob has become deeply embedded in the city’s creative community. Yet, while Leeds has become synonymous with its post-punk revival, Big Warm Bed carves out a distinct sonic identity, drawing on the collaborative spirit of the city’s music scene while pursuing a more melodic, wistful strain of indie rock.
From the Morley Music Foundation to his living room sofa, Jacob has been writing songs for as long as he can remember. Away from the breakneck speed of modern life, Big Warm Bed is an ongoing search for a feeling, a vibe, a realm to get “lost in a moment”. Musically, it’s the zone for Jacob – a self-described control freak – to geek out on studio techniques, a craft that leaves him giddy with adrenaline.
Having moved away from the more alternative sounds of his youth, in Big Warm Bed Jacob has gravitated towards a softer, Americana-tinged indie rock, built around wistful melodies and loose, collaborative arrangements. Through his songwriting, he explores complex emotions while creating space for listeners to get lost in the music. With ‘June Bug’, Big Warm Bed invites listeners into that world: one built on honest songwriting, hazy guitars and the simple pleasure of getting lost in a song.
Big Warm Bed will be supporting Bug Teeth at Belgrave Music Hall in Leeds on 2nd December.
Stay tuned for much more new music and news from Big Warm Bed to follow.

Wörmdigger Return with “Remain” — New Single & Video
Swiss alternative metal band Wörmdigger return with “Remain,” the second single and accompanying video from their upcoming EP, We Shall Remain, due November 13, 2026.
“Remain” captures Wörmdigger’s ability to balance weight and melody without losing their edge. The track opens with a clean, layered guitar arrangement and lo-fi drums before gradually building into its full, heavy sound, driven by the punch of a 7-string guitar.
The chorus shifts the song into a more melodic direction, featuring a pop-punk-inspired vocal line reinforced by layered harmonies. The track ultimately builds towards an epic guitar solo, whose simple, direct approach gives the closing section its impact.
Listen to “Remain”
About Wörmdigger: Wörmdigger was formed by brothers Sandro and Jerome Häni alongside Rico Vaterlaus, who met during their school years. Sandro and Jerome began writing music together in 2011, while Rico was playing in a punk band; when that band split in 2018, the three joined forces, merging their punk and heavy metal backgrounds. In 2017, Sandro and Jerome had opened their own recording studio, working with artists across Switzerland and sharpening the production approach that would shape the band’s early sessions with Rico. Nicolas Borner joined on drums in 2021, and second guitarist Felix Straub came on board later, rounding out the two-guitar arrangements that define the band’s current sound.
The band’s name traces back to “Würmligrübbler,” Rico’s nickname for the brothers — Swiss German for roughly “worm diggers” — which over time evolved into Wörmdigger.

NORTHLANE RELEASE NEW SINGLE “DEATHWISH” & ANNOUNCE ALBUM AND TOUR DATE CHANGES
ANEMOIA NOW OUT NOVEMBER 27 | AUS & NZ TOUR RESCHEDULED TO MAY 2027
Acclaimed local heavyweights Northlane return with “Deathwish,” a visceral new single and the fourth preview of their upcoming seventh studio album Anemoia, now with a new release date of November 27, following production delays.
“Deathwish” picks up where previous single “Crucified” left off, painting a stark portrait of selfishness and the destructive consequences of unchecked self-importance. Driven by layers of synths, soaring clean vocals in the chorus, and a massively crushing breakdown, the track turns the lens inward, questioning whether these tendencies have become an inescapable part of who we are.
“A companion song to ‘Crucified,’ but where that song surveys the landscape, ‘Deathwish’ zooms in on the individual. It’s written from the first-person perspective of someone who is entirely unwilling to listen – convinced of their own reality, blind to anyone else’s. I’m the centre of the universe / I’m blind to what you need,” explains singer Marcus Bridge. “The lyrics aren’t self-referential, but it communicates an understanding of the psychology well enough to inhabit it, and the chorus turns the lens slightly inward: am I the one that’s cursed? I know it’s all I’ve come to be.”
The band have made a statement explaining the album delay and the rescheduling of their Australia and New Zealand tour to May 2027, as Josh requires immediate treatment for worsening chronic health issues. Revised dates will be announced soon, with existing tickets remaining valid.
STATEMENT FROM NORTHLANE:
An important update from Northlane regarding Anemoia, our Australia & New Zealand tour, Melbourne Listening Party and our new single “Deathwish”.
Due to production delays, the release of Anemoia is moving to November 27, 2026.
Alongside the album delay, Josh has been dealing with significant, rapidly worsening chronic health issues over the past two years and now requires immediate intervention which will prevent him from travelling or performing. With his health and rehabilitation a priority, alongside the delayed release of the record, we have made the difficult decision to reschedule our Australia & New Zealand tour to May 2027.
All existing tickets will remain valid for the rescheduled May 2027 dates, which we’ll announce very soon.
Additionally, we have moved our Melbourne Listening Party to November 20. This means attendees will be the first in the world to hear Anemoia in full. All tickets remain valid.
These decisions have been incredibly tough to make. Delivering the full experience to you matters to us, and we don’t take decisions like this lightly. We recognise the impact these changes may have on those who’ve made plans around the original dates, and we appreciate your patience and understanding.
To be clear, our UK/EU tour with Dayseeker later this year and our North American headline tour early next year will both go ahead as planned.
As a thank you for your continued support, we’re releasing our new single, “Deathwish,” ahead of schedule.
Executive produced by Jordan Fish, the idea for Anemoia was sparked by a mind-altering set from UK producer and DJ Evian Christ, which inspired songwriter/guitarist Jon Deiley to explore how trance – in all its emotional intensity and physical scale – could work naturally with guitars and the catharsis of heavy music. Throughout the album, Northlane’s hallmark electronic metal takes on many forms, shapeshifting through euphoric trance, seismic breakdowns, brain-bending grooves, drum-and-bass, jungle and pop, coalescing into Northlane’s own sonic singularity.
Following on from their #1 album Obsidian (2022), Anemoia toys with the concept of feeling nostalgia for a time or place one has never known. The nostalgic yearning coursing through Anemoia opens up a dichotomy of darkness and light that underpins the record. Buoyed by the sense of freedom in eras past, there’s a light and carefree energy running through tracks like the bright Britpop-tinged “Start Again,” the 2000s cheekiness of “CUT_it”, the kinetic exhilaration of “Evian,” and widescreen interplay between Bridge and guest vocalist Rory Rodriguez (Dayseeker) on the album’s title track.
“There’s darkness here, but it’s not nihilism – and there’s hope, but it’s not naivety,” adds Bridge. “We weren’t interested in writing a record that projects something beyond ourselves with a prophetic statement, or pretending the world is better than it is. What we made instead is something that feels like it was written by real people living through the same experience as everyone else.”

ZIGGY ALBERTS LETS THE HEART AND IMAGINATION ROAM ON SEVENTH ALBUM TWIN FLAMES
FEATURING NEW TRACK ‘VALERIE’ AND SINGLES ‘I BLAME MYSELF’ & ‘I NEED MY WOMAN’
A sense of potent self-awareness and confidence has found itself embedded in the DNA of ZIGGY ALBERTS’ expansive catalogue of work across the years.
His dedication to creating music that is not only emotionally resonant, but reflective of his own maturing as a human and songwriter, has turned Ziggy into a globally renowned artist – one whose independence, both in career and spirit, has led him to embracing new horizon after new horizon with his music.
Following an epic world tour in support of his 2025 album NEW LOVE, Ziggy’s new creative arc has manifested in a brand new studio album titled TWIN FLAMES.
Built on a collection of music that has existed in some way or form for Ziggy over the last few years, TWIN FLAMES is a bold assertion of style and signature from the musician and songwriter; a passionate and confident step into new sonic territory, while exploring themes of intense connection, introspection and more through these words. Sonically, the album fuses the folk and surf-influences that Ziggy fans may be familiar with, with a textured flourish of Americana that feels incredibly at home with Ziggy’s signature sound.
Featuring previously released tracks including ‘Cyclones’, ‘I Need My Woman’ and ‘I Blame Myself’, the new record has been a way for the songwriter to play with ideas of duality, light and dark emotional moments, and a bold approach to throwing a multitude of questions into the universe – sometimes receiving answers, sometimes receiving more questions.
Songs like ‘Big Black Dog’ and ‘Strangers’ are masterclasses of emotional intimacy paired with big, bold sounds; while ‘Come And Go’ and ‘Graceland’ exude power and authenticity that speak to Ziggy’s own development as an artist who has not stopped his own spirit of reinvention in recent years.
Ultimately, TWIN FLAMES is an exploration of lived experiences and what it means to find peace and sometimes empowerment, in seeking out the new and unknown; the other side of what we are used to.
Working once more with longtime producer and collaborator Garrett Kato, Ziggy pushed himself during the recording process of this album in exploring his own dynamism as a performer and writer. The listener can hear this right throughout TWIN FLAMES, especially on new single ‘VALERIE’ – a song that stands as an album highlight, for its tone and the way Ziggy’s strength as a vocalist shines.
Accompanying the album’s release, Ziggy also shares visuals for ‘Valerie’, filmed in Western Australia during a special trip out to this part of the country with friends; captured by Wilzen Crawford.
In a time when human connection is so missed, the groundswell of community support in the lead up to TWIN FLAMES has been immense. Earlier this year, Ziggy reached out to his dedicated fanbase via vintage rotary phones set up at independent cafes in 35+ locations across the world, where fans were able to call in and listen to a list of tracks from TWIN FLAMES and pick their favourite, with ‘I Need My Woman’ taking the win and selected as a featured single.
Over the last few months, Ziggy has also hosted album release parties in Berlin, Munich, Amsterdam, Bristol, London, Sydney and Melbourne. In Munich, fans were treated to special coffee catch up with Ziggy; In Sydney, Melbourne, Munich and Bristol – fans were able to surf with Zig at waveparks; and in London, Ziggy ran a 5km run club with fans.
“I’ve been saying recently that people need music, but musicians need people. It’s easy for all of us to feel isolated, living our modern lives, and doing these super intimate events with long-time listeners was an opportunity for me to understand what matters most to these core supporters. It also gave them a chance to ask questions that never get answered on stage. Adding the dimensionality of shared experience, running together, surfing together, drinking coffee together, I think helps us as musicians and music lovers become more than numbers on a screen. I was blown away by some of the questions, and the most endearing outcome was people who arrived to these events as strangers and left as friends.” ZIGGY ALBERTS
In creating TWIN FLAMES, Ziggy has learned a lot about his own process and relationship with music; with many of these songs ruminating in some form for quite some time before reaching their final form, Ziggy has been able to reconnect and find his own moments of discovery through these stories.
The record, a pure contrast to its predecessor NEW LOVE, has rejuvenated Ziggy in many ways, while also offering a moment of redefinition for the songwriter.
“I recorded this album almost two years ago, in between two world tours and before my last album came out (something I won’t do again, haha).
On track 10, I wrote the lyrics ‘twin flames, sand white dunes’ before I knew what I’d name the album. When I looked up what Twin Flames meant, it felt like the perfect way to describe the feeling of the album; unexplained connection between people. Sometimes you meet a stranger, or you arrive at the same place as someone you never expected to, and there’s a connection you can’t quite explain.
This album is about those curious connections we have with other people and places, and it asks a lot of questions along the way.” ZIGGY ALBERTS
To date, Ziggy is the proud creator of 10 Platinum singles, 2 Gold albums and multiple APRA Music Award wins, amongst many other accolades. These include ARIA Triple Platinum status for “Laps Around The Sun,” Double Platinum for “Days In The Sun,” “Gone,” and the EP “Four Feet In The Forest,” plus multiple Gold certifications and three APRA Music Awards for Most Performed Blues and Roots Work.
With over 1 billion global streams to his name, Ziggy Alberts continues to push further as an independent artist, maintaining authenticity and groundedness with each release. 2025 was a prime example of this ethos paying off, with his NEW LOVE world tour drawing 100k + live attendees – a testament to the strong connection his music generates with a truly global audience.
TWIN FLAMES IS RELEASED FRIDAY 16 OCTOBER.

CHINCHILLA CONTINUES TO FLEX WITH NEW SINGLE ‘IRREVOCABLY CHANGED’
G FLIP CO-WRITE FUELS EXCITEMENT SURROUNDING UK FIREBRAND’S NEW ARC
Embracing one of the most fulfilling chapters of her career yet, CHINCHILLA isn’t making moves with each release – the UK sonic rebel is taking confident strides. With the release of her new single, ‘IRREVOCABLY CHANGED’, the songwriter and musician adds another vibrant brushstroke to a growing portrait of artistry that is fast becoming an exciting one for 2026.
Her third release for the year, ‘Irrevocably Changed’ is another intimate offering: a slick fusion of electronic-driven pop and striking lyricism, conjuring a soundscape that is inviting and immersive. The track saw CHINCHILLA link up with ARIA winning songwriter and performer G FLIP, who features on Drums on the track, as well as ARIA winning songwriter Aidan Hogg, co-writing this track together and recording it at the G’s a Los Angeles studio.
With ‘Irrevocably Changed’, the listener hears CHINCHILLA exploring emotional territory with nuance and self-awareness. As she describes,
“You know that feeling when you’re going through the worst thing, and everything just carries on. Like your world has totally stopped, and you’re just watching everyone else live, and it’s equally soul destroying, and comforting. Just the surreal nature of complete heartbreak. Disassociation.”
Of working with G FLIP, the songwriter comments, “I wrote ‘Irrevocably Changed’ with G Flip and Aidan Hogg in their studio in LA. I think we just went back to basics at the end of a writing week – piano and vocal. I had a mic and I’ve been really obsessed with that overtuned distorted vocal sound recently. It reminds me of Bon Iver and just hits me in my soul. And we just had it recording and were improvising, and it was like it bled out.”
Released alongside the single itself, is the official music video for ‘Irrevocably Changed’, filmed in London and directed by CHINCHILLA herself. Drenched in dark hues, the melancholic energy of the song meets contrast in the video: tears falling from the singer’s face while hedonism continues around her.
‘Irrevocably Changed’ follows on from the release of previous CHINCHILLA tracks ‘VIPER’ and ‘DOG EAT DOG’ – all songs delivered with striking rawness and honesty, building a cinematic and expansive playground of sound for CHINCHILLA to express within. Unapologetic and unwaveringly authentic, the music is an exciting insight into what CHINCHILLA has planned for her highly anticipated new album.

New music: Scotland’s Best Live Act recipients SKERRYVORE release new single ahead of forthcoming album and Australian headline tour
NEW SINGLE ‘WHILE I’M BREATHING’ FEATURING TAMZENE – LISTEN HERE
NEW ALBUM ‘BEAUTIFUL MISTAKES’ IS OUT NOVEMBER 6 – PRE-ORDER HERE
AUSTRALIAN HEADLINE TOUR IN FEB/MAR 2027
Recently returned to their Scotland homes from filling venues during a USA and Canada headline tour, Skerryvore have just dropped the brand new single ‘While I’m Breathing’, which features fellow Scottish artist Tamzene. The song features on their upcoming album ‘Beautiful Mistakes’, which follows on November 6th. Listen HERE.
While recent years have seen Skerryvore achieve new highs during their two-decade career (the chart breakthrough and Radio 2 airplay from their previous album ‘Tempus’, a huge sold-out anniversary headline show at Floors Castle), ‘While I’m Breathing’ represents the first duet in their history.
The driving folk-pop melody of ‘While I’m Breathing’ shows a doomed, toxic relationship from two different viewpoints – even if both partners share a misguided belief that they can somehow battle against the odds to make it work. Alec Dalglish’s voice is booming, determined and impassioned, a contrast to the unguarded delicacy of Tamzene’s tone. Together, though, their shared harmonies are sublime, a stunning partnership that underlines what’s at risk with the situation that the song reveals.
Skerryvore first connected with Tamzene when she performed at the Tiree Music Festival in their hometown in 2017, an event run by the band’s co-founder Daniel Gillespie.
Skerryvore vocalist/guitarist Alec Dalglish says, “This is the first ever duet for us and it’s a pleasure to have worked with Tamzene on both the writing and recording of this track. Her perspective really helped to complete the big picture and her incredible vocals bring a beautiful authenticity to the sentiment of the track.”
Tamzene is a singer-songwriter from the coastal town of Cromarty in the Scottish Highlands. As heard on the EPs ‘In Any Weather’ and ‘Call Them And Tell Them You Love Them’ as well as the recent single ‘that’s not love, babe’, she sprawls across soul, R&B and singer-songwriter styles, all of which are united by the intensity of her emotional lyricism and the forthright beauty of her voice.
Tamzene adds, “Working with Skerryvore on this track was an absolute dream. A band I’ve admired and enjoyed for a long time, and one that continues to evolve and push creatively. This new album has so much beauty and is full of rich storytelling, with ‘While I’m Breathing’ speaking to the lengths we’ll go to for the ones we love. It’s an honour to be involved.”
The song adds another perspective to an album rich with sonic contrasts, from driving road trip energy to raw intimacy, with themes exploring human fallibility and changing perspectives. Produced alongside Jamie Squire (The 1975), it makes ‘Beautiful Mistakes’ the band’s most ambitious and personal album to date.
While Australian fans can pre-order ‘Beautiful Mistakes’ now through JB Hi-Fi, the album is also available in various collectible formats and bundles HERE, including a new card wallet CD format, which features bonus live tracks, unique artwork and is hand-stamped by the band – £1 from every sale of this will be donated to the Street Soccer Scotland charity. They also recently announced a series of limited edition cassette formats of the album, the eight variants each themed around and signed by a different band member. In addition, the band’s official store offers a signed black-and-white sunburst vinyl, a signed CD and black vinyl. All album bundles will be rewarded with a signed postcard from Tiree.
The four-time winners of Scotland’s Live Act of the Year award, Skerryvore will celebrate the release of ‘Beautiful Mistakes’ by embarking upon an extensive international headline tour, including four weeks around Australia, playing larger venues and more locations than previously, while also returning to Port Fairy Folk Festival and the Blue Mountains Music Festival. SOUR WORM SIGNS TO OUR GOLDEN FRIEND
DOUBLE SINGLE ‘WHOLE WORLD ROUND / FLY’ OUT NOW
+ ALBUM OUT DECEMBER 4
Our Golden Friend is thrilled to share the news of our first label signing in several years: Sour Worm, the musical project of Melbourne/Naarm based artist Jasper van Daatselaar. It comes alongside the release of double single ‘Whole World Round / Fly’ and the announcement of their new album Fly to be released on December 4th digitally and via cassette (pre-order here).
~ LISTEN TO ‘WHOLE WORLD ROUND / FLY’ HERE ~
Recorded feverishly over four days in Berlin, Fly was written on various couches, inspired by the new experiences, words, and ideas that come when you’re living away from home. Solitude, freedom, longing, exhaustion, hope, letting go, peace. ‘Fly’ received it’s first spin on radio last night via Double Bounce on RRR and is now available to stream or buy alongside ‘Whole World Round’ at your choosing.
The album was written and recorded by van Daatselaar, mixed by Dylan Young (Way Dynamic) and mastered by Liam “Snowy” Halliwell (Snowy Band), a convergence of some of Naarm’s most prolific musicians/engineers. The resulting album, Sour Worm’s fourth, is a unique glimpse into their world; an amalgamation of life lived that darts between folk, shoegaze and electronic influences imbued with a dazzling warmth reminiscent of the Berlin sun.
Upon the live stages of Naarm Sour Worm plays as a family band supergroup made up of Oskar van Daatselaar (Ice Magic), Callum Blackburn (Open Scrappy, Piggietails) and Declan Blackburn (Think About You, Flesh Cherub).
WATCH: WHOLE WORLD ROUND (VIDEO) HERE
Now ten years into it’s tenure as an independent label and management company, Our Golden Friend has evolved from a small outlet started to release limited edition 7″ records by friends into a powerhouse team for independent artists charting global careers. As a label Our Golden Friend has released music from the likes of RVG, Way Dynamic, Body Type, Jade Imagine, Moonlover, Peak Twins, and Poppongene, and led the careers as managers for Coldwave, Ella Ion, Good Morning, Robert Baxter, Romy Vager and more.
While the label has laid somewhat dormant the past few years, releasing music from the management roster alone, notably Ella Ion’s South Australian Music Award nominated Liminal Archive EP, Sour Worm marks a shift into the next era for Our Golden Friend. Continuing to champion music we love for the next decade and then some.
Owner/Director Lorrae McKenna says of this next chapter of the label: “The world is a crazy place in 2026, and the music industry in the year 2026 is such an interesting place to work and exist in, a lot has changed, and is constantly changing, and it feels to me that human beings have become disillusioned by creating and releasing music in our current times. An artist recently said to me “Lorrae, I am completely disinterested in the music industry” and my response was “same babe, but, you know what I am not disinterested in….Music” and the truth is I am absolutely not disinterested in music and the creation of it and experiencing it and listening to it at all times. I feel that it was somewhere within this conversation where a part of my soul woke up and realised that I in fact, had a record label, one that is ten years old now and historically has released quite a lot of very good music over the years.
I couldn’t quite remember why I stopped signing bands to the label, maybe I had also become a cog in the wheel of the music industry that I am now so completely disinterested in, but I woke up one day a few weeks ago and realised that I had a label and I could in fact just sign bands to it because I loved their music, because I believed in them as artists and their vision, and creative expression and no other reason.
And so I have done that, and I am so excited to share the beautiful insular musical world of Sour Worm and their new album Fly, which I have fallen in love with and which will be the first of a few new label signings to the Our Golden Friend label in the very immediate future. I created this platform many years ago to share music that I loved with the world and find audiences for undiscovered artists who deserve to be heard. Such an exciting and invigorating feeling to do something for the love of it and no other reason and now I am excited to see who else falls in love with the music of Sour Worm too.”
More announcements to be made in the following months with Sour Worm only the first new signing to the reinvigorated label roster.

DREAM BOAT NEW MUSICAL DUO DEBUTS SINGLE ‘REAL!’ WITH MUSIC VIDEO
MEMBERS OF ACCLAIMED BAND PARCELS PATRICK HETHERINGTON & JULES CROMMELIN UNVEIL NEW PROJECT
Single out now via Because Music
Today Patrick Hetherington and Jules Crommelin, members of the critically-acclaimed and multiplatinum band Parcels release their debut single and will premiere their video for ‘Real!’ as Dream Boat, their new musical project. Marking the beginning of a new chapter in their creative partnership, Dream Boat offers Pat and Jules a space to explore ideas and influences beyond their work in Parcels. While drawing on the instinctive musicianship and collaborative spirit that have defined their previous work, the new project establishes a musical identity of its own lined with a distinct new sound that brings a fresh perspective to their musical roots.
The debut single ‘Real!’ released by Because Music, introduces listeners to the group’s dreamy, slightly off-kilter, sonic world of “play”, oscillating between sunny beat-driven jam and hypnotic indie pop. Produced and mixed by Dream Boat, the track soars with crisp guitar melodies and sun drenched vocal harmonies channeling the warmth under the sun of California a la rock legends like The Beach Boys. The music video, directed by Kaylinn Duffy, captures a celebration of community, uniting people from different walks of life through the art of dance and the anthem that is ‘Real!’. The video was aptly shot at the iconic Santa Monica Pier that has long served as a symbol of freedom and liberation and an essential sentiment at the centre of Dream Boat’s new work to come.
Dream Boat represents an opportunity to approach songwriting and production from a different perspective for both members, embracing new possibilities while maintaining the chemistry that first brought their musical paths together.
More to come from Dream Boat soon…
PATRICK HETHERINGTON FROM DREAM BOAT ON “REAL!”:
“Sometimes everything’s a dream; the road is a blur of white lines, the fisherman is breathing slowly on the beach, I’m standing next to myself as a child. But sometimes it gets so real.
The music came quickly. The words fought back, I had to wrestle them in, on long walks or at the court. I was shooting a lot of hoops at the time. The repetition, standing alone just trying to hit the net, it’s meditative and it’s purposeless and that’s beautiful, and that’s like everything else.
There’s some samples in the recording, other times and spaces, mixed with my bedroom, mixed with studios in LA and Paris and Sydney I think. Jules played the drums, I played the bass. There’s a pt.2 to the song, it’ll come later.
It’s real life hitting like a highway, in its colourful flood of information. But it keeps falling back into the dream, maybe it’s the edge of being asleep and awake.”

VANISHING POINT Australia’s Melodic Metal Masters Release New Single, Sirens
New Album, Eremition, Arrives November 20
After leaving jaws on the floor last month with the release of, Bring Me The Night, their first new music in six years, one of Australia’s most respected melodic metal band, Vanishing Point have returned with the immaculate, Sirens.
Long term guitarist Chris Porcianko says of the song, “Lyrically, it’s about the downfall of humanity, wherein we are very much alive with technology, yet at the same time our morality lies dormant and deteriorates”
“We have all this information flooding our short attention spans, we are run by a world of fools, and we aren’t looking out for each other as much as we once did. We are all somewhat oblivious to our own decline with many things, whether it be physical, spiritual, or ethical’
“Sirens continues where Dead Elysium left off, they are both connected”

Six years after Dead Elysium marked their triumphant return following another lengthy absence, Vanishing Point are back. Their seventh studio album, Eremition, will be released worldwide on November 20,
On Eremition and the long wait between drinks, Porcianko adds, “for us as a band, it’s always been quality over quantity. When the quality is there, that’s when it’s the right time to put it out into the world. We feel we owe it to ourselves and to our fans everywhere to bring something truly special to light, something that sits perfectly within the long legacy that Vanishing Point has.
Eremition is in many ways an album about loss, gain, realisation, understanding, letting go, and moving forward without holding onto the negative energies that sometimes complicate our lives. We hope that these songs bring a little solace and connection to all our incredible fans out there.”
For longtime fans, new Vanishing Point music carries a particular weight. Three decades into their career, the band have never flooded the market or chased release cycles for the sake of remaining visible. Instead, each chapter has been allowed to arrive in its own time. The result is a catalogue that has earned Vanishing Point a reputation extending far beyond Australia.Across six albums since their 1997 debut In Thought, Vanishing Point have carved out their own space within melodic metal: huge melodies, soaring vocals, heavy guitars, cinematic atmosphere and songs carrying an unmistakable emotional weight. It is a sound that has taken the Melbourne band around the world, touring throughout Europe and Japan, performing in the USA and sharing stages with Iron Maiden, Nightwish, Helloween, Gamma Ray, Yngwie Malmsteen, Joe Satriani, Dragonforce and many more. They also became the first unsigned Australian band to perform at Wacken Open Air, long before Australian heavy music enjoyed the international profile it does today.Yet perhaps the most remarkable thing about Vanishing Point in 2026 isn’t simply that they’re still here. It’s that there is still an audience waiting when they return. For the fans who discovered the band through In Thought, Tangled In Dream, Embrace The Silence or The Fourth Season, a new Vanishing Point album reconnects them with a band that has been part of Australian metal for decades. For those who arrived through Distant Is The Sun or Dead Elysium, the wait for another chapter is finally over.
More than three decades after Vanishing Point formed in Melbourne, Eremition isn’t about looking backwards. It’s about reminding the world that Vanishing Point are still one of the finest melodic metal bands Australia has ever produced. And once again, they’ve made the wait worthwhile.
Eremition will be released on November 20

HEILUNG Announce Monumental Australian & New Zealand Tour For March 2027
In March 2027, Heilung will bring their extraordinary live experience back to Australia and New Zealand for a monumental seven date tour, including two very special performances at the iconic Sydney Opera House, Melbourne’s Sidney Myer Music Bowl, Adelaide’s AEC, Brisbane’s Riverstage, Auckland’s Spark Arena and Perth’s Red Hill Auditorium.
Their live rituals are extraordinary spectacles. An ensemble of warriors, elaborate costumes, ancient instruments, incense, hypnotic percussion and powerful vocal performances combine to create an experience that feels less like attending a concert and more like stepping thousands of years back in time. It is theatre, music and ritual, yet it is something that exists beyond all three. It is amplified history in its truest form, live and felt with all human senses.
Since emerging in 2015, Heilung have defied musical convention. Describing their work as “amplified history”, the collective draw upon the sounds, traditions and spiritual practices of early civilisations to create an extraordinary world of hypnotic percussion, haunting vocals, throat singing, ancient instruments and powerful visual ceremony. An ensemble of warriors, elaborate costumes, ritualistic movements and atmospheric soundscapes transform the stage into something that feels removed from the present day.
Every ritual begins with an ancient prayer, led by founding member Kai Uwe Faust, before the collective, including vocalist Maria Franz and producer Christopher Juul, transport their audience into a world where the boundaries between performer and spectator, past and present, awake and dreaming, begin to disappear.
As Faust explains, the philosophy behind Heilung reaches far beyond music. “With singing these primordial songs we want to give tribute to these cultures, reconnect to the beginnings and remember that we all, from East to West, from past to present, are connected through the exchange of ideas and inspiring each other.”Heilung’s creative journey continues beyond the stage, including their collaboration with video game developer Ninja Theory on Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II. That collaboration has given rise to Sagas, a collection of recordings created for and inspired by the game, including previously unheard material that reveals another dimension of their unmistakable sound.
Joining Heilung for all performances outside Sydney is German-American singer-songwriter
Lilith Max, whose enchanting blend of dark folklore, mythology and fantasy brings ancient tales and imagined worlds to life. Lilith Max creates her own spellbinding musical world, making her a fitting companion to Heilung’s extraordinary rituals.Following a period of hiatus, the collective returned to the studio in late 2026 to begin work on their highly anticipated fourth studio album, with new music set to herald the next chapter in their remarkable musical evolution.
With their extraordinary rituals returning to our stages, March 2027 promises to be another monumental chapter in Heilung’s story. For those yet to witness one, words can only convey so much. Some things simply have to be experienced.

With over 90 million global streams, a UK No.1 Independent Album (Day by Day, 2024), sold-out UK tours and support slots with Noah Kahan, Calum Scott, James Arthur and Gabrielle already
under their belt, Skinny Living arrive off the back of their boldest release yet, EP 9, the final chapter of a visionary trilogy inspired by Nikola Tesla’s 3-6-9 theory.
Known for blending soul, alt-indie and modern grit, Skinny Living echo the timeless warmth of
Bill Withers, Van Morrison and Paolo Nutini while remaining unmistakably their own. Frontman
Ryan Johnston’s haunted-yet-hopeful Irish voice intertwines with the intricate guitar work and soaring harmonies of Danny Hepworth, creating songs that feel unpolished, deeply human and built to linger.
The band’s name says it all: “Skinny Living is a term that describes the financial reality and lifestyle of the working class. Hard graft on a low income, with a lust for life, passion for family and an optimistic attitude about the future.”
After a decade of relentless hard graft, a chance meeting at an open-mic night and word-of-mouth growth, Skinny Living are ready to share their story of struggle, resilience and glorious soul music with Australian audiences.
With Sydney and Melbourne sitting inside the band’s Top 5 most-streamed cities worldwide, demand is massive and venues are intimate.

WESTSIDE COWBOY (UK) ANNOUNCE DEBUT AUSTRALIAN SHOWS IN MELBOURNE, SYDNEY AND BRISBANE
TICKETS ON SALE MONDAY 26 OCTOBER
Fresh off the release of acclaimed debut album It Goes On and a rapid rise as one of British indie music’s most exciting new bands, Manchester four-piece Westside Cowboy will make their Australian debut in March, today announcing three headline shows in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, alongside their previously announced appearance at Golden Plains.
Westside Cowboy’s hotly anticipated debut album It Goes On – 35 mins long and 11 tracks, recorded with producer Loren Humphrey (Geese, Cameron Winter, Wunderhorse) – arrived this past August to widespread praise, drawing comparisons to everyone from Courtney Barnett and The Velvet Underground to Parquet Courts. Formed in Manchester by Jimmy Bradbury (vocals, guitar), Reuben Haycocks (vocals, guitar), Aoife Anson O’Connell (vocals, bass) and Paddy Murphy (drums), the band’s rise has been fuelled by an infectious mix of heart-on-sleeve songwriting, community spirit and a refreshingly uncomplicated approach to making music.
Formed in 2023 after members met in earlier outfits while others studied at the Royal Northern College of Music, the newly christened Westside Cowboy swiftly became a place for concise, straight-hitting musical ideas. There was only one rule for what would follow. “We just wanted to make simple music. I think the reason there was such chemistry – and when we look back, even after two weeks we were really working well together – is because it was such a simple statement of intent,” recalls Reuben. “Any time we’d disagree on something – which was very rare – we’d just consult the original mission statement: if you’ve got too many chords in it, you’re wrong.”
Since then, they’ve won Glastonbury’s Emerging Talent Competition, appeared on Later… with Jools Holland and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, toured Europe with Geese and Black Country, New Road, scored an upcoming North American tour with Fontaines DC, and sold out their biggest headline shows to date across the UK and USA. Now, it’s Australia’s turn.
Sign up to become a Frontier Member to access the presale, which begins Thursday 22 October (9am local). Tickets will then go on sale Monday 26 October (1pm local time). Head to frontiertouring.com/westsidecowboy for all the tour information.
With a focus on what unites rather divides us, alongside their musical releases Westside Cowboy helped co-create ‘No Band Is An Island’, a Manchester-based collective which puts on fundraising nights to spotlight both local artists and important issues via speakers from charities and direct-action groups. Renowned for their live shows, Westside Cowboy transform their songs into something even bigger on stage: the kind of joyful release that can only happen when band and audience are locked into the same moment.
Having just released one of the year’s best rock records, Westside Cowboy finally head to Australia – tickets on sale Monday.

HAUTE & FREDDY (USA) BRING BIG DISGRACE WORLD TOUR TO AUSTRALIA FOR DEBUT HEADLINE DATES IN MARCH 2027
The Royal Court is expanding. Haute & Freddy, the dazzling musical brainchild of Michelle Buzz and Lance Shipp, have announced their debut tour of Australia, bringing their flamboyant collision of theatrical pop, underground club culture, and runaway-circus spectacle to audiences for the first time.
Fresh off their sold-out Big Disgrace World Tour and a landmark year of festival appearances across North America and Europe, the duo is poised to introduce local audiences to their unmistakable universe next March — one where elaborate costumes, obscure synths, and unapologetic self-expression reign supreme.
Haute & Freddy will deliver anticipated headline performances at Sydney’s Metro Theatre on Tuesday 2 March, Brisbane’s Princess Theatre on Friday 5 March and Melbourne’s 170 Russell on Wednesday 10 March, along with festival slots at Golden Plains and WOMADelaide.
Released in March, Haute & Freddy’s debut album, Big Disgrace, was recently named one of Vogue’s Best Albums of 2026 So Far. Led by the anthemic ‘Dance The Pain Away’, the record is a riotous introduction to the duo’s theatrical universe, blending audacious pop, obscure synths and underground club culture into a gloriously unpredictable sound all their own. With fan-favourite videos for ‘Shy Girl’, ‘Sophie’ and ‘Freaks’ already establishing their visual world, the pair have continued to blur the lines between music, fashion, and performance.
With current single ‘Touch Touch’, written and produced entirely by the pair, Haute & Freddy continue their rapid rise. The duo gave the track its live debut during their recent Lollapalooza set, earning a rapturous response from the crowd, while its iconic music video has already amassed close to 2 million views.
And the duo has even more new music on the horizon. This Friday 23 October, Haute & Freddy will unveil their brand-new single ‘Film Noir’ (Pre-Save HERE), written and produced by the band, alongside an official music video directed by Amalia Irons. Drawing inspiration from the dangerous glamour and shadowy romanticism of classic film noir, the track transforms love into a beautifully twisted mystery, where desire and danger become increasingly difficult to tell apart. Arriving just in time for Halloween, ‘Film Noir’ promises another thrilling glimpse into the pair’s wonderfully theatrical imagination, complete with the drama, intrigue and darkly romantic flair that have become their signature.
But a Haute & Freddy show is more than a concert. It’s an invitation into the Royal Court — the duo’s fiercely loyal and increasingly extravagant fandom. Online, fans trade Ren Faire-inspired lingo; in the crowd, handmade jester hats and balloon crowns transform audiences into part of the spectacle itself. It’s a world where the line between performer and audience dissolves, and every show becomes its own gloriously unruly affair.
With sold-out shows across Europe and the UK, plus a 2027 slot at Primavera Sound, the Lady Gaga-approved pair show no signs of slowing down. Driven by a love of theatre, underground club culture, and sounds that defy convention, Haute & Freddy make music that crashes through the veneer of polite society with the flair of an 18th-century escapade. Their debut Australian tour promises an immersive introduction to a world where pop meets performance art, the absurd meets the anthemic, and the Royal Court is always in session.
Haute & Freddy’s debut album, Big Disgrace is out now.
New single ‘Film Noir’ arrives Friday 23 October. Pre-Save HERE.

TEENS RELEASE DOUBLE SINGLE AHEAD OF AUSTRALIAN EAST COAST TOUR
Fresh from an emphatic showing at BIGSOUND 2026, Tasmania’s beloved noisy post-punks TEENS return with explosive double single ‘Blood On Their Hands’ / ‘Untitled Too’. The latest offering from the Nipaluna/Hobart trio showcases the band at their most forthright, both lyrically and musically – a pair of songs that spit defiantly in the face of local and global injustice, their frustration palpable and roiling.
‘Blood On Their Hands’ / ‘Untitled Too’ is available on DSPs, Bandcamp, and Subvert FM from Wednesday 21st October, via Tasmanian artist run label No Sleep, arriving just ahead of TEENS’ 12 date East Coast tour in support of their second album Negative Energy.
Blood On Their Hands / Untitled Too – out 21 October on No Sleep
TEENS’ Negative Energy Tour kicks off on October 24th with a home town show at Hobart’s Altar Bar, where the band will be joined by doom club antagonists Axon Breeze, harmony-driven rockers Conversationalists, and No Sleep labelmate Joel Green Band. As they head north, TEENS will share stages with Ancient Channels, Baglicker, Big Modern, Bughunt, Granddaughter, Johnny and the C Sections, Lizard Lounge, LXRP, Milksick, Miners, Vague Rituals, and Zenith. They’ll feature on the line-ups for Psych On This Fest in Byron Bay and Reflections mini-fest in Newcastle, and make a cheeky stop along the way at Accor Stadium with The Belair Lip Bombs in support of Foo Fighters. – TICKETS
Following the release of their debut, self-titled album in 2024, and the quick turnaround to Negative Energy in 2025, playing non-stop live shows in between, TEENS quickly found themselves the subject of praise from all corners of the world. Their albums earned airplay in the US, UK, Europe, New Zealand, and extensive features on Australian community radio, as well as endorsements from Triple J’s Anika Luna, The Music, Rolling Stone Australia, It’s Psychedelic Baby magazine, Backseat Mafia and more.
Supported constantly and fervently by their loyal home state fanbase, the band sold out first pressings of both albums, played almost every festival in Tasmania, found themselves tapped on the shoulder to support Foo Fighters at the Sydney date of their upcoming Australian tour, and were selected to showcase at BIGSOUND 2026. It was no surprise then to see The Music’s Bryget Chrisfield declare recently: “TEENS are clearly going places.”
‘Blood On Their Hands’ / ‘Untitled Too’ is out Wednesday 21st October on No Sleep Records, and tickets for most dates on the Negative Energy Tour are ON SALE NOW.

About TEENS: TEENS is a post-punk trio based in Nipaluna/Hobart (AUS). Together, Shawn Arnold, Alex Davern and Jono Tate create music that is abrasive, dynamic, and intensely captivating. TEENS’ volatile musings on despair and alienation blend grit, vulnerability, intricacy and rawness, with their deceptively chaotic exterior belying an expertly applied command of tension and energy.
With a live show that is equal parts disorienting and rejuvenating, TEENS have amassed a rabid following across their home state. Their visceral, careening performances have earned them spots at major Australian festivals including Dark Mofo, Mona Foma, Party In The Paddock and Falls Festival, and support slots for a roll call of lauded acts including Eddy Current Suppression Ring, Foo Fighters (US), DZ Deathrays, Crywank (UK), and Hard-Ons.
The release of TEENS’ debut self-titled LP in 2024 was met with local and international acclaim, finding support from outlets such as Backseat Mafia, Tone Deaf, and It’s Psychedelic Baby, as well as extensive Australian Community Radio airplay, an enthusiastic champion in the form of KCRW’s Travis Holcombe, and spins across the UK, Europe and New Zealand.
Second album ‘Negative Energy’ arrived in September 2025 via No Sleep Records and Psychedelic Salad Records, garnering airplay on KEXP and coverage by Rolling Stone Australia, and quickly selling out its first pressing. TEENS were listed as one of The Music’s Top Ten Moments of Weekend One of Dark Mofo 2026 and selected to showcase at BIGSOUND 2026.

EIVØR The Visionary Faroese Artist Celebrates Album Release With New Video + TUNGL Out Now
Watch The Video For ‘Og Mánin Græt / And The Moon Cried’
Faroese visionary artist EIVØR has released her stunning new album Tungl (16th October, Nuclear Blast Records).
To mark the occasion, you can now watch the new video for ‘Og Mánin Græt / And The Moon Cried’ here: https://youtu.be/9jGz1RuPOos
Get Tungl here: https://eivor.bfan.link/tungl
Eivør comments: “The song is about a faint memory that still lingers, almost like a dream.
“I remember looking up at the moon in the dark sky when I was little, wondering why it always looked so sad. I would imagine all sorts of reasons, and my imagination would just wander off.
“The music video for this track was created by the incredible Gwenaël Akira. I just love how he understands my music in such a visual way and how he manages to capture the raw emotions, nature and a distorted dream like reality that captures the essence of this song beautifully.”
Tracklist:
01. Og mánin græt / And The Moon Cried
02. Drekafljóð / Dragon Maiden
03. Verjugarðar / Walls
04. Spøkilsir / Revenants
05. Hinumegin / The Other Side
06. Healer
07. Eon
08. Tann tú saknar / The One You Long For
09. Fangað (feat. Elinborg) / Trapped
10. Everyone But Me
Whether you’re already embedded into Eivør’s ever-expanding world or yet to fall under its spell, Tungl is a far-reaching journey of discovery.
Tungl – a Faroese word for ‘moon’ – sees Eivør reach further into elemental realms than ever before. Immersive, unmoored and steeped in a sense of time-stretched drama where familiar marker points give way as an inner compass emerges over its 10 searching tracks, it’s an album also in tune with a very contemporary need for navigation, self-belief and rejuvenation in the most uncertain of times.
For over two decades, Faroese artist Eivør has been regarded as one of the most bewitching and fearless voices to have emerged from the Nordic music scene. Ranging across rock, pop noir, jazz and folk to electronica over the course of 11 solo albums, various collaborations, live albums and soundtrack work including The Last Kingdom, God of War and God of War Ragnarök, her musical path has revealed both a restless, explorative spirit and a singer deeply connected to her Faroese roots, earning her the Nordic Council Music Prize along the way.
It’s testament to the singular yet universal nature of her music that her fanbase has grown to include metalheads and the Norse pagan folk scene – for whom her startling voice, hide drum and throat-chant incantation, Trøllabundin, has become an unofficial anthem – as well as the mainstream, all instinctively understanding that music coming from a place of true authenticity knows no boundaries.
If Eivør’s last album, Enn, marked the beginning of a darker, more atmospheric phase, her forthcoming release, Tungl – the Faroese word for ‘moon’ – and her first for the powerhouse German metal label Nuclear Blast, sees her reach further into elemental realms than ever before. Immersive, unmoored and steeped in a sense of time-stretched drama where familiar marker points give way as an inner compass emerges over its 10 searching tracks, it’s an album also in tune with a very contemporary need for navigation, self-belief and rejuvenation in the most uncertain of times.
As Eivør herself says:
“Tungl explores the ever-changing cycles of life – its songs move between moments of tenderness and heartache, love and loss, and the emotional tides that shape us. Like the moon that inspired its title, Tungl serves as a gentle guide through life’s darker passages, illuminating the beauty, resilience, and transformation found along the way.”

CHVRCHES ALL THE KING’S MEN
NEW ALBUM DUE 22 JANUARY 2027
VIA FUTURES✦ MUSIC GROUP
CHVRCHES announce their eagerly anticipated new album All The King’s Men alongside an extensive run of shows across North America, the UK and Ireland starting in February. All The King’s Men, their first album in almost six years, is due for release on 22 January 2027 in LP, CD, cassette and digital formats via Futures Music Group.
The band – Lauren Mayberry, Iain Cook and Martin Doherty – took their pause in 2023 after touring their fourth UK Top 10 album Screen Violence, with all agreed that when they returned, their next chapter had to challenge and excite them. The result is All The King’s Men, a self-consciously British freewheeling collection of 11 tracks of vividly emotional indie rock that fans won’t expect, and neither did they.
In the intervening years all three members were consciously and unconsciously absorbing material for their return. On his frequent trips back to Scotland to spend time with his mother, Doherty had reconnected with gritty British cinema by auteurs like Shane Meadows and Ken Loach – not incidentally the ones who stare down the barrel of the UK’s worst social issues – and UK artists like Massive Attack, Souxsie & The Banshees, and PJ Harvey. Meanwhile, Mayberry had done her 10,000 hours of sessions and leveled up as a lyricist, and came looking to make music that showcases a fresh storytelling quality and vocal range, and Cook – still living in the band’s Scotland home base – had started to reject electronics in favour of writing with acoustic instruments, and was listening to Nick Drake, Bert Jansch and Incredible String Band.
With none of them approaching creation in the same way, they eschewed the remote working of Screen Violence to meet for multiple, intense three-week stints in Glasgow. They knew recording in-person and in Scotland was exactly the environment necessary for experimentation on this record.
A first taste came last month in the form of ‘Roses’ – a scathing piece of contemporary social commentary, a confrontation with the darker undercurrents of Britain, with Mayberry snarling, “raise a glass to delusions of the good days of blood and wine; of pearls for swine.” The song’s Orwellian closing announcement, “If I may command your undivided attention, now we can start,” set the stage for what is to come with All The King’s Men.
Through one lens All The King’s Men is a compulsive exploration of British and Scottish culture through the unique viewpoint of this specific band. After years now spent in America, with all its large newness as a country, Doherty and Mayberry connected with a sense of the UK’s history as “old and real” even when it’s ugly. Whether it’s smashing through expectations with playful 90s pop-rock (‘Adore You’) or injecting bleak, expansive loneliness into indie ballads (‘Comedown Tomorrow’), there’s an unapologetic dynamism and risk-taking to its state-of-the-nation songs that demands total attention.
For Mayberry, Doherty and Cook this was about discovering their own strength between them, saying that it’s forever changed how they’ll work as individuals and together. In finding the album, CHVRCHES seem to have found something else too, for a second time in their career: a poignant creative language that belongs entirely to the three of them.

THE SPIKES STEP INTO AN ICONIC LOVE STORY WITH “NEVER TEAR US APART”
The Spikes don’t simply release records. They build worlds around them. For Rome-born artist Iago Haussman, a song can move from the recording studio to a fashion campaign, a film set, a gallery wall or the storefronts of an Italian eyewear brand across Europe. A singer-songwriter, published poet, painter and sculptor, Haussman has built The Spikes at the intersection of rock, cinema, fashion and visual art, and now he’s taking that instinct to one of the most recognizable love songs of the 1980s. Originally released by INXS in 1987 on their landmark album Kick, “Never Tear Us Apart” became one of the Australian rock band’s defining songs, with Michael Hutchence’s unmistakable vocal and the song’s dramatic arrangement helping it endure across generations.
With “Never Tear Us Apart,” The Spikes step inside the INXS classic and change the emotional point of view. The original’s sweeping declaration of a love that cannot be broken becomes darker and more intimate in Haussman’s hands: a song about what remains after two people have already been torn apart. STREAM HERE The synth drones longer. The tension builds slower. The romance is still there, but now it carries the weight of distance, memory and an ex-lover you can still almost feel in the room. That is where The Spikes live—somewhere between beauty and unease, romance and obsession, the cinematic and the deeply personal. “The first time I listened to the song I was madly in love with a girl, and listening to these lyrics of longing and yearning to never be apart from that person really struck a chord with my heart,” Haussman shares. Rather than recreate the original, Haussman focused on the element that had always pulled him into it: the tension created before the vocal ever arrives. The Spikes preserve that anticipation while stretching it into something more atmospheric and distinctly their own. “Something I love about the original is the beginning string section slowly building up to the verse,” he says. “I’m a big fan of how the build-up comes up right when the vocal comes in. That was something we tried to keep by extending the intro and giving it a more droning sound with the synth.”
What began with Haussman at the piano and Max on guitar evolved into a recording he considers a centerpiece of the project. “I knew that I wanted this song to be the crown jewel of the record,” Haussman says. “So we approached it with the thought of how we get to the nitty-gritty of what the emotion of this song is. Somehow we ended up with a far more emotional version of this tune, which I think suits the song well.” That same instinct to push beyond the expected has followed The Spikes across mediums. The critically acclaimed First Light established Haussman’s cinematic, genre-defying approach, while the music video for “Garden Song” has surpassed 120,000 views on YouTube. In 2026, that creative world expanded into fashion with L.G.R.’s The Session, a Spring/Summer campaign shot in Haussman’s native Rome and directed by acclaimed filmmaker Michael Haussman (Madonna, Kanye West, Justin Timberlake). Inspired by Jean-Luc Godard’s Sympathy for the Devil, the campaign captured The Spikes inside the recording studio and extended the project into L.G.R.’s flagship stores across Rome, Milan, Florence, Venice and Paris. The Spikes have also collaborated with AEA Ribbon Mics and Andrea925, further positioning the project in a space where music and visual culture are increasingly inseparable. For “Never Tear Us Apart,” however, the scale of that creative world narrows back down to one person, one memory and the strange permanence of something that was supposed to be over. “I want this song to haunt my listeners, and to hopefully bring back certain memories of an ex-lover,” Haussman says. “I wanted them to be able to listen to this song and almost feel the breath from their mouth, the taste of their lips and the feeling that even though they aren’t together anymore, there is something far greater, which will never tear those emotions apart.” The people may separate. The feeling may not. For The Spikes, that is where “Never Tear Us Apart” begins again.

About The Spikes ### Iago Haussman is The Spikes. A singer, songwriter and poet born and raised in Rome, Italy, Haussman is currently living and recording in the United States. The Spikes’ self-titled debut introduced listeners to Haussman’s genre-defying artistic world and featured the much-talked-about single “Guns for the Children.” His latest LP, the critically acclaimed First Light, has been praised by music publications worldwide, while the music video for “Garden Song” has surpassed 120,000 views on YouTube. Beyond music, Haussman is a published poet, painter and sculptor whose work has been shown in galleries. He co-founded the punk band Delicate Prey at age 16 and grew up immersed in cinema and visual storytelling in Rome alongside his father, acclaimed American director and visual artist Michael Haussman, whose work includes music videos for Madonna, Kanye West and Justin Timberlake and films that have premiered at Cannes, Sundance and Venice. The Spikes’ creative collaborations span music, fashion and design, including Andrea925, AEA Ribbon Mics and luxury Italian eyewear brand L.G.R. Haussman was featured in L.G.R.’s The Session campaign across the brand’s flagship stores in Rome, Milan, Florence, Venice and Paris.
LEGENDARY BLUES ARTIST ROBERT CRAY CONFRONTS AMERICA’S PRESENT AND PAST ON ALL OVER AGAIN, HIS FIRST ALBUM IN SEVEN YEARS,
OUT FEBRUARY 12, 2027
POWERFUL NEW TRACK “PUSH THROUGH” IS A FIRM RESPONSE TO ACTIONS TAKEN TO STRIP CIVIL LIBERTIES – LISTEN HERE
Revered, multi-Grammy Award-winning blues guitarist and vocalist Robert Cray returns with the thought-provoking All Over Again, his first album in seven years (out February 12th on Thirty Tigers). Cray delivers a powerful and inspiring collection of songs that confront America’s racial history, political divisions and uncertain future.
Produced by longtime friend and collaborator Steve Jordan (Rolling Stones, Sheryl Crow, The Pretenders) and recorded at the legendary FAME Studios in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, All Over Again, finds Cray channeling his signature blend of blues, soul and R&B into a deeply personal reflection on a nation at a crossroads.
“1965, when voting rights for Black people were enacted, wasn’t that long ago,” says Cray. “I turned 12 that year, and my parents were finally able to vote. I’m not the first to write these types of songs. But I know why they are written — it’s just too bad that we have to.”
The new single “Push Through” addresses the anxieties of this moment in time with clarity and conviction by aiming a sharp spotlight at the current administration’s efforts to turn back the clock on the hard-won progress that has been achieved. Cray urges Americans to rise up as he sings, “We have the right to choose what we demand. Just get out the vote and on the streets and stand.” Listen to “Push Through” HERE.
Recording in Muscle Shoals held personal significance for Cray, not only due to its rich musical history. At 7, he and his siblings went to live with their grandmother in Alabama for a few months before joining their father who was stationed in Germany. During that time, he experienced firsthand the realities of segregation, from separate schools and drinking fountains to the modest conditions of their grandmother’s home. Returning decades later, dismayed over the socio-political state of the nation, Cray found himself confronting a painful past that remains uncomfortably close to the present.
All Over Again reunites Cray with Jordan, whose musical partnership with the guitarist dates to 1986, when both were recruited by Keith Richards to back Chuck Berry for Taylor Hackford’s concert film Hail! Hail! Rock ‘n’ Roll. “
Cray’s masterful guitar work is heard throughout out the album, while his heartfelt vocals exude R&B panache and soulful grit. “With Everyone” pays tribute to his beloved mother, Maggie Cray, who passed away in 2020, while reflecting on the corrosive nature of today’s political climate. The melancholy country-soul of “Long Way Home” examines a society destabilized by lies and deceit, while “Tacky Wack” delivers a blistering critique of our current leader.
Cray pays more homage to the Muscle Shoals tradition with interpretations of songs originally recorded by R&B greats Wilson Pickett (“For Better Or Worse”) Bobby Womack (“I’m In Love”) and Jimmy Hughes (“Neighbor, Neighbor”).
Closing the album, the funky “Soul Shot” celebrates all the legendary soul artists whose recordings helped make Muscle Shoals an enduring cultural force in American music. The track was co-written by Cray, Jordan and celebrated Muscle Shoals musicians Clayton Ivey (piano) and Spooner Oldham (organ).
Over a career spanning decades, Cray has earned multiple Grammy Awards, sold millions of albums and established himself as one of the most distinctive voices in modern blues and American roots music. He has shared stages and studios with John Lee Hooker, Muddy Waters, Tina Turner, Stevie Ray Vaughan, B.B. King, Buddy Guy, Etta James, Chuck Berry, Albert Collins, The Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton, Hi Rhythm Section. Through it all, he has remained devoted to the power of music to bring people together though shared experiences and universal truths.
On All Over Again, Cray brings that perspective to an album that refuses to look away from the present or surrender the progress of the past. Robert Cray’s message is as direct as his music: “We move forward,” he says. “We don’t move back.”

BILLY GARDNER & FRIENDS ‘LAST OF THE NATURAL LIGHT’ ALBUM LAUNCH with Traffik Island + The Bolt Ons
Recorded sporadically over the past five years, ‘Last of the Natural Light’ began as an attempt to finish a collection of half-written songs, before evolving into a standalone body of work with its own distinct style and sound. The record balances atmosphere and melody with an instinctive warmth, expanding beyond traditional rock music, but without ever abandoning it. There is a distinct influence from the Baroque Pop arrangements of Lee Hazlewood, folk rock earworms of Neil Young, the glitter stomp of T-Rex, the atmospheric soundtracks of Morricone and Moroder or early Eno, but these influences feel less like reference points and more like building blocks. Backed by a band of some of the finest players in town (Jake Robertson, Mitch Campleman, Rowena Lloyd, Jamie Harmer & Alannah Sawyer), Billy Gardner and Friends will perform songs from ‘Last of the Natural Light’ with various guest vocalists and instrumentalists.
