CARLA WEHBE – VOCALS

Carla Wehbe promo pic 1 LR
Mesmerising pop vocalist Carla Wehbe has released her debut single Electric Field, a powerhouse of a track that inspires wan-derlust in every listen. To accompany the track Wehbe has also released a stunning clip that encompasses the compelling na-ture of the song. Electric Field is the first taste of Wehbe’s EP of the same name, which is also out now. We asked Carla to do a little Q&A with us

What was your first gig?
My first gig was at the Piano Room in Potts Point, I did an acoustic set with my guitarist and very close friend Marvin Rodriguez and all my family and friends came out to sup-port, it was great.

What microphone do you use on stage generally?
To be honest I generally use whatever is available, I’m still learning as I go.

Is it the same for recording?
For recording I use the compression microphones my producers have in their studios.

What’s your latest recording and when will you be back in the studio?
My latest recording is ‘What If I’ and i am hoping to get back in to the studio in the next few weeks!

What gigs have you been playing lately?
I have been doing a fair few corporate events, private functions, weddings and recently performed on the runway at the Australian Bridal Fashion Week for designer Lilli Marcs which was awesome!

Most memorable gig?
My most memorable gig would have to be singing on the runway at Australian Bridal Fashion Week, was so fun to be out there and watch the show as well as singing!

Worst stage nightmare?
Needing to sneeze in the middle of a song…

Album that changed your life?
I don’t really have an album that has changed my life, I love certain songs on different albums, but one album which has always been one of my favourites is Electra Heart by Marina And The Diamonds.

What gigs are coming up in the next few months?
Haven’t got any confirmed gigs at this point in time, but i have a few gigs in the pipeline and will be posting about them very soon on my Facebook page!

A vocal tip for the kids?
For me its more about the feeling than being technically correct. People will forget a mistake, but they wont forget how you make them feel.
