Fans of authentic blues music will be thrilled to learn that legendary American artist Charlie Musselwhite will be back in Australia with his band in September this year. This will be Charlie’s first time back since he toured here with Ben Harper in 2018
Included in Musselwhite’s excellent touring band will be longtime favourites, Kid Andersen on Guitar, June Core on Drums and Randy Bermudes on Bass.
Ahead of the September Australian tour, Australian Musician editor Greg Phillips had the pleasure of catching up with Charlie Musselwhite via a zoom call this week and chatted about Charlie’s early days in Chicago and Memphis, mixing it with Elvis Presley, Muddy Waters and Howlin’ Wolf.
