Australian Musician editor Greg Phillips caught up with Dalicados’ James Lomas and Fiona Lee Maynard to chat about the band and the creation of their debut album Nevermore
In December 2020, the band released Nevermore, their debut 9 track album featuring eight Lomas originals and a cover (Marcos Huet Alves’ “Simple As it May Sound”). In the spirit of the best rock bands, Dalicados play it loud and loose yet slick enough to suck you into their raggedly beautiful musical world. Nevermore offers an eclectic mix of raucous rock ’n’ roll licks, heartfelt gritty ballads and moody late night vibes, with a hint of Americana and Tex Mex flavours for added spice.
