JULIA JACKLIN: THE ‘DON’T LET THE KIDS WIN’ INTERVIEW

Even before the release of her debut album, Julia Jacklin had already set off on an extensive world tour, such is the global buzz for the singer-songwriter’s whimsical blend of indie folk/pop/rock. On her first-up long player Don’t Let The Kids Win (released October 7), Jacklin delivers 11 entertaining tales, born out of daydreams, observations and life experiences. From the bouncing pop/rock beat of Coming Of Age to the fingerpicking acoustic folk sensitivity of Sweet Step, Jacklin draws you into her world, offers up the comfy chair and invites you to kick back and take it all in.

Just before Julia headed overseas, Australian Musician editor Greg Phillips sat down with the NSW-based singer songwriter amid the ambience of the afternoon trade at the Lomond Hotel to discuss her career and her debut album ‘Don’t Let The Kids Win’ (Released Oct 7th) www.juliajacklin.com
