MUSICIANS IN ISOLATION: LACH CASKEY (LAST DINOSAURS)

Formed in Brisbane over a decade ago, Last Dinosaurs have consistently delivered a contagious brand of guitar-based pop rock, which has seen them travel the globe performing at sell out headline shows and picking up additional fans in the U.S.A, South America, SE Asia, Spain, U.K, Germany and the Netherlands. At home in Australia they’ve packed headline rooms and festivals such as Splendour In The Grass and Laneway.

The band was in the process of creating their fourth full length recording and had some some major bills lined up for 2020 when, like everyone else the virus put a hold on it all. Rather than retreat to a life of binge-watching food and over-eating Netflix, the band has forged ahead and given us a new single ‘Flying’ with a beaut matching video.

Australian Musician’s Greg Phillips caught up with Last Dinosaurs guitarist and writer of Flying Lach Caskey to chat about life in isolation in Mexico (where he resides), the new single and the band’s gear, courtesy of their association with the Fender next program.
