Melbourne-based singer, songwriter Shelley Segal is one of those artists who just seems to accomplish things. Granted, some opportunities she has enjoyed have fallen out of the blue but it’s the environment of openness she has created and her amiable, positive nature which invites such good fortune. It’s that inner-confidence and a willingness to learn and explore which has led to collaborations with respected music industry figures such as dance music producer Carl Cox and accomplished American guitarist and songwriter Adam Levy. It’s that same self-belief which has allowed her to tour overseas 9 times, when some other artists never get to step outside of their own country. In half a dozen years, Shelley has released 3 full length albums and a couple of EPs, her current one being ‘Strange Feeling’. The new single from it is called ‘Background Noises’, which she will be promoting in a run of dates from this Thursday. (See tour dates below)
