Former tradie, competitive water skier and the small South Australian town of Mannum’s first ever busker. They’re not your run of the mill biography bullet points but then again River Lane is not your standard independent Americana artist.
After performing at Melbourne’s Uberfest (2016), River went on to win South Australia’s Festival of Original Music competition in the Studio Open Category (2017) and released her EP ‘Time’ (2017). The successful single ‘Head High’ was picked up by Triple J and Australia’s regional commercial radio. River Lane has just released her new single ‘Ghost Of A Girl’ from her forthcoming second EP and the quality of song and performance suggests that River Lane is going to be a force to be reckoned with.
