Steph Strings is San Remo-Melbourne based singer-songwriter who tells a story through her music. With influences from the John Butler Trio, Tash Sultana and Ziggy Alberts, Steph’s musical style entails bursts of percussion alongside Celtic, blues and coastal fingerstyle indie-rock.
Steph has performed a sold-out show at Melbourne’s iconic Chapel off Chapel venue, as well as played shows supporting popular artists The Pierce Brothers, Kim Churchill and Ash Grunwald. Steph has also started impressing festival with her music, including Ocean Sounds Festival on Phillip Island, Victoria, and Winter Wine Festival in NSW.
2022 saw Steph release her first single in over 4 years, releasing her singalong crowd favourite “Dusty Road”. In January and February 2022, Steph conducted a headline regional tour of Victoria performing to crowds around the state in support of the Dusty Road release.
In July 2022 Steph played her first ever International performance after being invited to perform at Les Escales Festival in France, much to her International fans delight. Steph will embark on her first headline tour of the UK and Europe in April 2023. Steph’s EP ‘Wildfire’ was released in April 2022 and is on all major platforms. Also released in 2022 was a new single Lion, which will appear on a new EP for Steph due for release in April 2023. We are also delighted to welcome Steph Strings to the Melbourne Guitar Show March 4&5 at Caulfield Racecourse.
