The Panics have always created a breed of music which is as much nutriment for the mind as it is cause to swing and sway. Their 5th album Hole In Your Pocket (to be released October 7th) is no different in that regard. Largely created in downtown Fitzroy, the band conjure some mesmerizing dreamscapes which form a perfect garden bed to nourish Jae Laffer’s rich and reflective lyrics. Fourteen years down the track from formation and five years since their last album, the Panics remain connected and relevant, offering an insightful commentary on life’s foibles and struggles.
