TIM ROGERS: THE ‘EASYFEVER’ INTERVIEW

If you want a lesson in Australian pop/rock music history and have your socks rocked off at the same time, then you need to experience one of the upcoming Easyfever shows in December, celebrating the music of The Easybeats and lead singer Stevie Wright’s solo career.

Featuring Chris Cheney, Phil Jamieson, Kram, Tex Perkins and Tim Rogers out front and Jak Housden (The Whitlams), Ashley Naylor (Even), Dario Bortolin (Baby Animals), Dave Hibbard (Joe Bonamassa) and Clayton Doley (Divinyls) in the engine room, you’ll hear all of The Easybeats and Stevie hits plus much more from their rich catalogue of material. Legendary songs such as “Friday On My Mind”, “Sorry”, “She’s So Fine”, “Wedding Ring”, “Good Times”, “Evie”, “Hard Road” and “Black Eyed Bruiser”, will be performed with gusto by some of Australia’s finest and most passionate musicians.

You Am I frontman and acclaimed singer songwriter in his own right Tim Rogers is excited to be part of a show which honours the music which has been a large part of his own music education. Australian Musician editor Greg Phillips sat down with Tim to chat about The Easybeats’ music and the upcoming Easyfever shows.

Special thanks to Harry Blackburn and the Victorian Arts Centre for the use of their beautiful Amcor Lounge.
