This week Fender announced the Rarities Series Chambered Flame Top Telecaster. It’s a stunning looking guitar featuring a chambered, two-piece roasted alder body with a natural flame maple top, separated by a black centre stripe. The Tim Shaw custom-designed 50s vintage-style bridge pickup adds a hotter classic voice to the sweet-sounding ShawBucker™ 1T humbucking pickup in the neck position. The “Modern C”-shaped maple neck provides classic Tele® twang while the 9.5”-radius fingerboard and narrow-tall frets make bending easy.
The limited-edition Rarities Collection features an upscale, boutique-style series of nine models, all crafted in Corona, Calif. Built with figured maple, ash, and koa-topped bodies, premium pickups, high-end finishes and special
electronics—the result is stunning appearance and tone.
