Wikipedia tells us that Palma de Mallorca is the capital and largest city of the autonomous community of the Balearic Islands in Spain. What Wikipedia doesn’t tell you is that last week 2,000 metal fans were having the time of their lives on the Full Metal Cruise II, aboard the Mein Schiff 1, a luxury cruise ship, sailing through the harbour of Palma de Mallorca.
Bands appearing onboard were: Alestorm, Axxis, Bembers, Blaas of Glory, Beyond The Black, Blaze Bayley, Doro, Dragonforce, Endstille, J.B.O., Mambo Kurt, Onkel Tom, the Pressgeng, Hammerfall, Melissa van Fleet Russkaja, Saltatio Mortis, Sodom, Stormwarrior, Subway to Sally, Tankard and Uli Jon Roth.
The cruise lasted 5 nights, visited 3 harbours and included fans from 10 different nations, who consumed 28,000 litres of beer, 6,000 litres of water, 4,000 burgers, 1,300 schnitzel and 5,000 bratwurst!
