TASH SULTANA – BLACKBIRD

We stumbled across this amazing young Melbourne artist on YouTube. Tash Sultana is a 19 year old roots reggae/folk inspired singer/songwriter from Melbourne, Victoria. Since having her hands wrapped around a guitar at the mere age of three, the self taught artist was only destined to expand over the coming years. After an independently successful past year, 2014 has seen Tash’s release of her second debut EP Yin Yang, regional and interstate shows, festivals, triple j airplay, community radio air play and some television appearances. 2015 is the journey of new direction and focus on her music. After busking the streets of Melbourne and raising her artist profile, Tash is set to release her 3rd debut EP, Higher and embark on a national tour. Her carefully crafted edgy fusion of multi-instrumental pieces, beat boxing and percussion styled finger tapping guitar has left audiences in awe. The young one-person band power house is set for a massive 2015.
