Anyone making their way down to the Melbourne Guitar Show (August 8&9, Caulfield Racecourse) will be in for a very special musical experience on so many levels. Not only will there be an array of basses, bass amps, cabs and effects on display, but also performances and clinics from some of Australia’s finest bass players.
In a Melbourne Guitar Show exclusive, internationally respected bass player, songwriter and arranger Wayne Jones will be presenting a rare performance in full band mode. You’ll never see a funkier version of smooth jazz than witnessing the Wayne Jones band in action.
Jones’ impeccably polished albums such as ‘Forgotten Melody’, ‘Saturday Street’, ‘Closed For The Holidays’ and the his latest recording ‘Mr Jones’ are often seen listed at the very top of the international smooth jazz charts.
As well as witnessing Wayne Jones live, you’ll also be able to see the wonderful Wayne Jones Audio bass cabs and power amps, designed by Wayne himself. His WJ 2×10 & WJ 1×10 powered and passive cabs just received a glowing review in respected American magazine Bass Player, and you’ll be able to see and hear these at the show on the Wayne Jones Audio stand.
