Chosen by members of the Australian Jazz Academy, the nominees for the 15 annual Australian Jazz Bell Awards were announced today. Named after the late Australian jazz pioneer, Graeme Bell, ‘The Bells’, are highly regarded within the jazz musician community. The winner in each of the 7 award categories receives $5,000 as well as the much-coveted statuette. The awards will be presented at a gala ceremony at Bird’s Basement on Monday May 15th.
