Ace_Press_Final7Ace Frehley, the most famous and the original Kiss guitarist is coming to Australia for a series of gigs from late April through May. Frehley was with Kiss from the band’s glory days of 1973 to 1982, then re-joined the guys in 1996 for a reunion tour. The Les Paul slinging Frehley has also released five solo albums including last year’s Space Invader. This will be Frehley’s first tour to Australia since 2010.

Through his seminal work with KISS and as a solo artist, Ace Frehley is championed as one of the most influential guitar players of the last four decades and his impact on popular music is immeasurable. With his smash 1978 solo album and post-KISS work including 2009 ‘Anomaly’, Frehley continues to be the best selling member of the original band.

“I can’t wait to get down to New Zealand and Australia with this new lineup. I’ll be performing ACE classics as well as songs off my new CD ‘Space Invader’ for the enjoyment of the fans,” said Ace of the tour announcement.

Joining ACE on stage will be Richie Scarlet, who rode shotgun performing rhythm guitar and vocal duties on ACE’s ‘Trouble Walking’ platter and has toured with Sebastian Bach; bass guitarist Chris Wyse (Ozzy Osbourne & The Cult); and Scot Coogan (Lita Ford & Nikki Sixx).
