Jesse Valach & Blues Roulette is the 5th release from the Melbourne muso institution, the Blues Roulette project, which features a rotating cast of our finest blues artists backed by a core rhythm section of Ben Wicks on bass and Johnny Tesoriero. Recorded at The Catfish in Fitzroy, where the Blues Roulette team can regularly be seen, this latest EP in the series demonstrates the significant talents of much loved and respected guitarist-singer Jesse Valach. The opening track Don’t Let My Love Run Out is an epic seven minute track highlighting Jesse’s dexterous fretboard fingers and his soulful voice. Howling At The Moon finds the trio locking into the funkiest of grooves, taking the enthusiastic audience along with them for the ride. Wanted You There wraps up the EP with a smokin’ shuffle spotlighting Jesse’s wicked and heartfelt blues licks.
The Melbourne music community was shocked to hear that Jesse had recently suffered a stroke. While he’s doing well and taking things a day at a time, sales of this EP will go toward helping Jesse out in his time of need.

With his newly rebranded outfit Jesse Valach and The Testaments recently releasing their current single “Testify” enjoying extensive airplay and a highly anticipated 3rd album in the works scheduled for an early 2022 release it’s any wonder that from local blues jams to the international stage Jesse is indeed a musician on the rise.
Last year during the pandemic, Leaps and Bounds Music Festival put on an online live streamed festival. Below a cut from that show, Robert Cray’s song “Phone Booth” performed by Jesse Valach, Jimi Hocking, Ben Wicks and Johnny Tesoriero.
