Cedric Burnside is thrilled to announce the local supports for his Australian tour, kicking off in Castlemaine this weekend. To satisfy the demand of fans in Melbourne and Brisbane, Cedric Burnside announced two more shows on his Australian tour. Cedric will now play new dates in Melbourne on Monday, May 13 and a matinee show in Brisbane on Sunday, May 19.
Renowned bluesman Cedric Burnside, is returning to Australia and New Zealand this May, in support of his latest album BENTON COUNTY RELIC. With the first Melbourne show selling out, a new one has been announced for May 13 at The Spotted Mallard. Tickets on sale now and available here.
The grandson of legendary R.L. Burnside, Cedric Burnside draws upon a tradition that’s decades old, yet cuts deeper than any other artists recent attempt to interpret the blues. Burnside will showcase his electric and acoustic guitar prowess joined by his full band for a string of special intimate shows.
The tour will begin with a performance in Auckland on May 10, followed by eight headline dates in Australia taking in Castlemaine, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
