Ernie Ball Music Man named their Ball Family Reserve series in celebration of the company’s rich heritage in instrument craftsmanship. Offered in limited production runs, the Ball Family Reserve collection allows Ernie Ball Music Man to present instruments to the public that were previously reserved for family and artists.
It’s important to point out that due to their limited edition production run, not all of the models released in the Ball Family Reserve collection are always available in Australia through local retailers and please note that this month, unfortunately that’s also the case. However it’s always interesting to check out the quality and variety of what’s coming off their factory floor and the Australian distributor CMC Music promises that going forward, more of the collection models will become available in Australia from next month.
This month’s Ball Family Reserve features the Majesty guitar in Jester Red, the StingRay5 Special bass in Ginger Burst, and the Valentine guitar in Walnut Flame.
THE MAJESTY IN JESTER RED
This Ball Family Reserve Majesty offers an augmented spalted maple shield which is nestled within its exclusive Jester Red finish. Featuring an ebony fretboard complemented with an elegant cream binding and DiMarzio Dream Catcher and Rain Maker cream humbuckers, giving this guitar a classic look. Limited to 60 pieces worldwide.
HE STINGRAY5 IN GINGER BURST
This Ball Family Reserve StingRay5 Special features a lightweight Okoume body with a custom Ginger Burst sparkle finish. This exclusive sparkle finish has been applied to the body, the back of the neck, and the headstock to offer a more uniformed appearance. Offering chrome hardware including a black 3-ply pickguard and contrasting chrome knobs. Limited to 89 pieces worldwide.
THE VALENTINE IN WALNUT FLAME
The Valentine guitar in the striking Walnut Flame finish offers a double-bound ash body with a maple top. Featuring a roasted figured maple neck that’s accented with a unique, decorative herringbone inlay. Offering custom Ernie Ball Music Man “Ranger” pickups which replicate a wider frequency range than traditional pickups. Limited to 57 pieces worldwide.
