FENDER DELIVERS CA SERIES ACOUSTICS FOR BEGINNERS

Originally launched in 2018, the California Series ™ of acoustic guitars celebrate the lifestyle and culture associated with the region and the brand’s Southern California roots, which continues to expand each year. Energetic and independent, this family of guitars defies acoustic guitar conventions – from the Stratocaster ® headstocks and vibrant colors, to the distinctive Fender body shapes that mark players as visionary artists. 16 million new players picked up a guitar during the pandemic in the US and these lively, full and modern-sounding guitars are a go-to for beginners. Making a perfect accompaniment to the Fender Play app, the California Series ™ engages new learners with the nuances of developing their guitar playing skills and generating the new wave of musicians.

Malibu

In 2021, the California Minis arrived and served a big punch in a smaller-sized acoustic guitar. Whether you’re a young, aspiring player looking for a smaller instrument or simply looking for a top-notch guitar that’s easy to travel with, the Sonoran Mini and Redondo ™ Mini have you covered. Delivering the tone of a full sized guitar, they also come with the same premium features.

Newporter

Designed in California, the series features three original Fender body shapes – Malibu ™ , Newporter ™ and Redondo ™ – at three price points: California Classic, California Special and California Player. Each model’s personality is also defined by a number of vibrant and slick Fender colors (and satin finishes), including some popularized in the electric guitar world: Arctic Gold, Aqua Splash, Belmont Blue, Candy Apple Red, Champagne, Jetty Black, Burgundy Satin, Bronze Satin, Olive Satin, Ice Blue Satin, Midnight Satin, Slate Satin, as well as the 2020 color launch of Natural and Sunburst for the Redondo ™ Player, Newporter ™ Player, and the Malibu ™ Player. 2020 also provided the California Specials with exclusive availability in All Mahogany, alongside the California Classics which are now available in Aged Cognac Burst; both series now include tilt-back headstocks.

Redondo

Key features are made specifically for first-time players, including:

  • 3 exclusive body shapes with 3different options to choose from: Malibu, Newporter and the Redondo
  • Built in digital tuner
  • CD-1 Fishman pickup / preamp system to plug into an amp for a more amplified sound
