Inspired by the launch of the American Acoustasonic Jazzmaster Fender Custom Shop Principal Master Builder, Ron Thorn, has crafted a rare, one-of-a-kind Prestige Collection Offset Acoustasonic that he calls a guitar marking the “pinnacle in his career.”
Fender’s Dream Factory content series takes viewers inside the Fender Custom Shop to showcase the epicenter of guitar-building innovation through discussions with the Master Builders. In the latest addition to the Fender’s Dream Factory series, Ron Thorn discusses the inspiration behind his latest and greatest project, which is dubbed “The Trees” after the three carefully-selected pieces of wood that this ingenious guitar is made of. One of the pieces it contains is from a Honduran mahogany tree that has reached mythological status among the most high-esteemed guitar builders and players.
Thorn’s guitar is part of the 2021 Prestige Collection, which consists of a number of pieces that are each conjured up by the Fender Custom Shop’s esteemed Master Builders. These guitars are one-of-a-kind and available at authorised Fender Custom Shop Showcase Dealers.
