Say what? Free recording time?
Yes you heard right, Box Hill Institute and Sing Sing East studio are giving away free time in their world-class recording studio!

You could be recording your next single, EP or album on the SSL desk that musical legends Paul Kelly, Nick Cave and The Badseeds, INXS, Missy Higgins, Geoffrey Gurrumul Yunupingu, Temper Trap, British India, Crowded House, Powderfinger, The Living End, Shihad, Renee Geyer, Kiss, Lady Gaga, Elvis Costello, and Mark Ronson have all recorded on!

Box Hill Institute and Sing Sing East are giving local artists, musicians and bands of all genres the opportunity to do that. In partnership with Sing Sing studios, Box Hill Institute ran a similar competition in 2018, which was won by local four-piece band Regular Spread. This time, the competition is offering two talented recipients the opportunity to win a 2 day recording package in the studio with an engineer, valued at $2,400.

So, think big, it’s a great place to record a choir, a big band, an orchestra or mix a film score. The well-appointed studio offers a 72 channel SSL XL 9000K desk, with a very spacious main recording area and three substantial iso booths.

Box Hill Institute Director of Music, Ben Weisner said, “We are proud to run the Sing Sing East Studio Time competition again this year. It is a great opportunity to record in our beautiful studios. Good luck everyone!”
