Live music makes its arena return to Victoria this weekend in a huge way, particularly in the Geelong area where emotional fans are lapping up the emotional ride. Last night tens of thousands of music disciples rocked out to Foo Fighters at Kardinia Park, in Australia’s first taste of a large international act for some time. Another large audience will descend upon Mt Duneed tonight for Midnight Oil’s final appearance in the region. Meanwhile closer to the city last night, Amy Shark presented a stunning show at Rod Laver Arena. The Gold Coast girl has come a long way since she surprised us all with a hit single ‘Adore’, which became song of the year in 2017. Of course, that song and other Amy Shark gems such as including ‘Baby Steps’, ‘Love Songs Aint For Us’, and’ I Said Hi’, were a fitting end to a fabulous night of home grown music.
