As part of Rolling Stone magazine’s Live Lodge residency at the Workers Club Fitzroy, Ella Hooper played a stunning set last night (Oct 6) with her latest project, the New Magic Band. Late in the evening, Hooper was joined on stage by Jack Colwell, he of the golden tonsils, for a wonderful version of Stevie Nicks’ Leather and Lace. Caroline Kennedy (the Plums, Deadstar), aka painter and music academic, opened the night with a 2 piece translation of her Caroline No material.
