The music industry will come together for one of the most important events on the Victoria music calendar when Face the Music returns to Arts Centre, Melbourne for its seventh year on Friday 14 and Saturday 15 November, 2014.

Presented in partnership with Melbourne Music Week, keynote speaker Steve Albini will join hundreds of people from Australia’s contemporary music community who meet each year at Face The Music to exchange ideas, make new connections and support each other’s creative and professional development.

Also announced to speak at this year’s Face The Music are; Edgar Froese (Tangerine Dream), Dave Batty (Custom Made / Artist Voice), Johann Ponniah ( I OH YOU ) Harley Evans ( Moshtix ), Briese Abbott ( Spark & Opus ), Ben Thompson ( Corner Presents ), James Young ( Cherry Bar, Yah Yah’s ), Antonia Sellbach ( love of diagrams BEACHES), Millie Millgate and Glenn Dickie ( Sounds Australia ) , Chris Hatzis ( Triple R (3RRR 102.7FM)), Cara Williams (Beat Magazine), Chris Johnson ( Amrap / CBAA ), Emma Telfer (The Office Of Good Design), Sophia Brous (Artist / Curator), Caleb Williams (We Are Unified), Kirsty Rivers (APRA|AMCOS), Yvette Myhill (Association of Artist Managers), and Patrick Donovan (Music Victoria) among many others
