Brisbane’s music scene is ready to party this spring with the return of Valley Fiesta from 3 – 4 November.
The music epicentre of the River City will come alive with outdoor stages, featuring a huge line-up of artists including headliners Mallrat, Mildlife and Hatchie, along with local acts curated by the team at Brisbane’s iconic Tivoli Theatre.
The program also features a packed schedule of events and parties that will electrify the Valley precinct – and the best part – it’s completely free.
Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner said Valley Fiesta, presented by Brisbane City Council and produced by QMusic, is a cornerstone of Brisbane’s music and arts scene. “Whether it’s cut-price activities for kids or free concerts for seniors in City Hall, we’re delivering events for residents that are fun and affordable,” Cr Schrinner said. “For more than 25 years, Valley Fiesta has been captivating audiences and contributing to our incredible local music scene.
“Last year, the festival included 115 events across 24 venues – showcasing 63 performers and seeing more than 400,000 music fans in attendance.
“The festival’s two jam packed days will provide an incredible platform for local artists to strut their stuff, while bring more free and affordable activities to our entertainment precincts.
“Beyond the music, Valley Fiesta embraces our city’s creative spirit and invites visiors and residents to explore the rich history of Brisbane’s music and arts scene, while discovering new talent along the way.”
The festival kicks off with the much-loved family-friendly King St Food Fiesta on Friday 3 November featuring some of Brisbane’s favourite emerging artists on the outdoor stage, roving entertainment and a fantastic array of pop-up dining options from King Street restaurants.
Saturday sees Valley Fiesta back at its best with Fortitude Valley coming alive from 3:30pm with a massive line up in Brunswick Street playing the best live music through to the evening.
Other fiesta experiences include Hidden Lanes Bar Trail, with local bars offering special deals and DJs playing in Winn Lane and Bakery Lane. The After Parties will be keeping the celebrations going with local venues opening their doors late into the night.
QMusic CEO, Kris Stewart, said Valley Fiesta is an iconic event offering attendees an exhilarating experience showcasing the best the city has to offer.
“We’re so excited to be bringing the best version of Valley Fiesta back, with awesome live music and cultural experiences free on the streets. There’s nothing like a street party to celebrate our vibrant music scene, and Valley Fiesta is the best free street party in Brisbane!”
“Valley Fiesta is more than just a festival; it is a testament to the enduring power of music, culture, and community. It showcases the vibrant heartbeat of Fortitude Valley, inviting everyone to join in the celebration and create lasting memories.”
