Legendary multi-award winning Australian record producer Mark Opitz, will produce the new album by Melbourne melodic indie rockers, JACOBS RUN.
Opitz was awarded a Member of the Order of Australia for his sizable contribution to the performing arts in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List in June 2020.
Widely known for creating and delivering Australian music to the international stage, Opitz has worked with the cream of Australia’s musical talent including AC/DC, INXS. Cold Chisel, The Angels, Jimmy Barnes, Rose Tattoo, The Divinyls, Australian Crawl, Hoodoo Gurus, Richard Clapton and many more.

JACOBS RUN made a big impact both locally and internationally with the release of their self-titled debut album in late 2019. Radio stations in the USA, Canada and the UK embraced the band’s music.
The band were to embark on their third USA promotional / acoustic tour in March 2020, which was unfortunately thwarted by the COVID-19 outbreak.

Recording sessions for group’s second album will commence in early 2022 at Wick Studios in Brunswick Melbourne.
JACOBS RUN has recently been playing acoustic shows to capacity crowds at Melbourne’s coolest new live music venue, Jimmy Hornet in Richmond, Melbourne.
