The final of the annual Melbourne Music Bank takes place this Thursday night (Oct 8) at the State Theatre. Back in July Victorian artists were invited to submit their song entries to the competition. After listening to hundreds of songs from some amazing artists, the judges have found the final four performers who will battle it out tomorrow night on the State Theatre stage. Those four artists are DL, Jade Alice, Napier and Sam O’Connell.
The winner will receive a toolkit for success, comprising two days of recording at Melbourne’s famous Sing Sing studios, a film clip by Oh Yeah Wow, album artwork, printed CDs and the chance of their winning song to feature in a Bank of Melbourne TV ad. This year the prize also includes the expertise of a dedicated A-team of the industry’s finest including management and mentoring by Chris Robinson, publicity by On The Map PR, radio plugging by Varrasso PR and gig bookings by 123 Agency – a handy prize indeed. Ella Hooper was on board as Ambassador again this year and will also host the final.
