With her recent international release of Idyllwild, Mia Dyson has proven that success on her own terms is possible and is celebrating with the launch of a video for the album’s single “When We’re Older”. The video has been pieced together from footage sent in from Mia’s loyal fans, showing their memories of childhood and exploring the concept of age.
“Looking down the road to being old I wonder about how I will be perceived at that point. It seems that the world starts to ignore people as they get older, but it doesn’t have to be a dark, sad thing,” said Dyson. “There could be a freedom waiting for us and I want to embrace what comes with age, celebrating the idea of growing older with the person I love, hoping our love lasts that long.”
Following on from 2012’s The Moment was always going to be a tough ask for Mia Dyson, with the album nominated for an ARIA and getting wide critical acclaim. Idyllwild has proven to be a worthy successor.
