
The 2015 Winter NAMM Show (our summer!) has begun. Music product wholesalers, retailers, musicians and music industry people of all varieties have converged on Anaheim, California for the annual gearfest. Australian Musician will bring you all the action and latest releases over the next few days.
NAMM kicked off as usual with the Breakfast of Champions, which features industry leaders. This morning’s guests were artists Moby and Colblie Caillat.On Saturday the special breakfast guest will be Apple Co-founder Steve Wozniak.
Making good use of his promo time to plug his book, ‘Brothas Be, Yo Like George, Ain’t That Funkin’ Kinda Hard on You?’ was Funkadelic’s George Clinton who has been everywhere at NAMM and the show has just begun. He’ll be performing with Parliament Funkadelic tomorrow night Californian time at the John Lennon Educational Tour Bus Party
Just hitting the stage now are Chili Peppers’ Chad Smith and Trombone Shorty who are talking up the the Success of the American Arts Education in School Reform. Trombone Shorty performs later today too. Even southern rock legends Lynyrd Skynyrd hit the stage at the Hilton Anaheim tonight. It’s all happening at NAMM.
