NAMM 2018: AUSTRALIANS HONOURED AT NAMM SHOW

On Saturday 27th of January at the NAMM Show, Australian Music Association CEO, Australian Musician co-founder and director of the Melbourne Guitar Show, Rob Walker was honoured with a prestigious Believe in Music Award.

The Award nomination cited ‘Your career is a shining example of the passion and innovative thinking that makes our industry great!’ Awardees are recognized for their years of support and dedication to the music products industry.

AMA President, Craig Johnston, who was in attendance with many other Australian music products industry identities said, “The executive committee of the AMA supports this well deserved accolade and congratulates Rob whose work over decades in many roles has helped grow and shape our industry”.

Rob was presented with his award by NAMM Chairman Joe Lamond. Bernie Cappichiano of Bernie’s Musicland was also acknowledged for his contribution to the NAMM oral history program at a separate event. Bernie played a central role in the recording of over 50 videos mapping the history of the Australian music products industry on the occasion of its 40th Anniversary.
