Melbourne-based acoustic guitar duo Opal Ocean know a thing or two about the dynamics of a song. Their new single Mexicana ebbs and flows, while motoring along, building momentum before breaking into a fury of slick licks and rapid-fire flamenco-style beats. It’s hard not to be moved by Alex and Nadav’s infectious rhythms, as anyone who saw them perform at this year’s Melbourne Guitar Show will attest. Mexicana will be released on December 1st with a Melbourne launch party on December 8 at the Ding Dong Lounge.
