475px-Chuck_Berry_1957

One of the true pioneers of rock n roll Chuck Berry has died at the age of  90 in the US state of Missouri on Saturday March 18.  Charles Edward Anderson Berry Sr wrote the book on rock n roll guitar. Elvis may have been dubbed the king but he never had the iconic guitar licks that Berry invented. In a career spanning seven decades Berry boasted a string of hits, including classics like Roll Over Beethoven, Maybellene, Johnny B. Goode, rock n Roll Music, No Particular Place To Go and many others. Berry refined and developed rhythm and blues into the major elements that made rock and roll distinctive, with lyrics successfully aimed to appeal to the early teenage market. Even at the age of 90 he was still recording with a new album titled Chuck due for release this year. RIP Chuck Berry. Hail hail rock n roll.
