Established in 1967 by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the Order of Canada is the cornerstone of the Canadian Honours System and recognizes outstanding achievement, dedication to the community, and service to the nation. The Order recognizes people in all sectors of Canadian society. Their contributions are varied, yet they have all enriched the lives of others and made a difference to this country.
Robert Godin, C.M. has been designing and building guitars for nearly 50 years, and has earned the reputation of being a global pioneer and a constant innovator in guitar manufacturing. His lifelong passion and dedication to the guitar are truly inspirational. He joins the ranks of many other remarkable and outstanding Canadians in the Order of Canada, such as Jack Long (Long & McQuade), Randy Bachman, Alain Caron, Alex Lifeson, Céline Dion, Sarah McLachlan, Tom Cochrane, Leonard Cohen, and countless other legendary honorees. It offers a H-S-H pickup configuration for a multitude of tonal possibilities with a pair of scorching Bare Knuckle Boot Camp True Grit Zebra Humbuckers and a Godin GS-2 Single Coil in the middle. It also presents other unique features compared to the more traditional single cutaway solid-bodies, such as a short-scale (24 ¾”) set-neck and a 3&3 headstock design for comfortable playing and bending. The guitar also comes equipped with a re-invented vintage-style control plate, which has a Volume, Push-Pull tone, and an angled Super 5-way switch that follows the natural sweep of your right hand for easy pickup selection. The Winchester Brown model has an eye-catching finish and a dark Mahogany centre block, worthy of a classic/aged vintage guitar. The Radium Winchester Brown Limited…taking it up a notch!
