ROSE CARLEO ADDED TO SYDNEY BLUES & ROOTS FESTIVAL

Rose Carleo and band have been added to an already grand line up for this year’s Sydney Blues and Roots Festival. Carleo, whose current album is the impressive Time Is Now has been winning fans for sometime up and down the coast with her energetic, rockin’ live shows. Rose and band (featuring Mick Adkins, Mick O’Shea & Steve King) have just finished recording a new 5 track EP scheduled for release in March.
The Sydney Blues & Roots Festival December 1,2,3, 2017, is set to please all blues enthusiasts featuring legendary blues singer/songwriter, guitarist Kevin Borich, The Foreday Riders (who will celebrate 50 years of the ‘University of the Blues’), Mason Rack Band, Dai Pritchard Band, Psycho Zydeco, Hussy Hicks, Simply Bushed, Minnie Marks, The Swamp Stompers, Cornstalk, Johnny Devilseed & Old Man Rubes and many more.

As Sydney Blues & Roots Festival heads into it’s 9th year, this year it promises to be a blues infused weekend in the historic town of Windsor and will be set over five stages. The Friday night kicks off with a special VIP event at Hawkesbury Hotel and continues into the night at the Fitzroy Hotel. Venues include the WICKED INK Hawkesbury Hotel, Triple R Motorcycles & Macquarie 4 x 4 Centre Rockin Blues Stage, The Fitzroy Hotel, Windsor Public School Presents Stage, Hawkesbury Paddle- Wheeler and George Street Loft Restaurant, for that special ‘blues breakfast’ music delight.

The Southern Comfort Blues Cruises continue on the Hawkesbury Paddle-Wheeler this year. Just a delightful way to relax, have a great BBQ lunch and listen to the best in the blues business, whilst cruising the stunning river.

The VIP Card is available again this year for just $99.00. This years’ event is ticketed, with loads of different options to choose from.

The ‘Up and Coming’ new acts will debut some special new Australian blues talent throughout the festival, the degustational delights from Jarrod’s Shakes & Snags, El Taco Loco, and Trang’s Kitchen will keep you sustained throughout the festival. A pop up Record Fair with Vinyl albums to scour through and find that historic gem or find that special guitar you have always wanted at the Birdswood Guitar stall. Our resident local artist the amazing Bob Gammage will create ‘Live Performance Artscapes’ where you can be ‘part of the art’ again in 2017 and, will be auctioned throughout the festival.
