Australia’s sparky Americana starlet, Ruby Boots announces her  “I Miss You Already” Tour, slated for 2016 and taking in Australia, Asia and the USA. This will be the last chance for Australian audiences to catch her live for some time before she heads overseas. The tour features shows in Melbourne at the Northcote Social Club on March 10, Adelaide at the Wheatsheaf Hotel on March 17, Sydney at the Newtown Social Club on March 18,  Brisbane at The Milk Factory on March 19 and ends in Perth at The Astor Theatre on April 3 supporting the incomparable Taj Mahal. Ruby Boots has also been invited to perform in Borneo at the Miri Country Music Festival, before wrapping up with an epic fifteen stop tour of the USA starting in Nashville on April 24 and finishing in California on May 14.

Ruby Boots has fast been pushed to the forefront and captured the attention of the local and international music community following the rapturous reception of her debut album Solitude, released on Lost Highway, which garnered stunning reviews and picked up feature record status on PBS, RRR and RTR and her star continues it’s meteoric rise. Just last month she received the coveted $15,000 APRA Professional Development Award in the Country category, was  named Best Country Act for the fifth year running at the 2015 WAM Awards and this past week won the WA Live Voice Award at  the AU Review  Awards and was nominated for Best Live Roots Act.

Selling out her album launch at Howler in Melbourne and performing  coveted festival shows at Dashville Skyline, Out On the Weekend and AWME as well as national tours with Shovels and Rope, Shakey Graves and Tony Joe White added to this years impressive list of live accolades. Heading across the waters to tour the USA in September raised the benchmark for the Artist and was realised with a brilliant tour documentary-style video for her latest single “Cola and Wine” released last month and a feature article in the Americana bible No Depression who wrote:

“When you’re invited to share a bill with headliners like Kris Kristofferson, Justin Townes Earle, Shovels & Rope, Nikki Lane, Reverend Horton Heat, and Tony Joe White, you’re bound to learn a thing or two. Yet, in listening to her debut album, one can’t help but suspect that it was Ruby Boots’ own style and savvy that earned her a place on that stage to begin with”

It’s in the USA that Bex Chilcott also developed her collaborative songwriting relationship with Vikki Thorn of The Waifs, after a week long stay writing on Thorn’s Utah ranch bore fruit for both The Waifs and Ruby Boots (Vikki co-wrote on the tracks “Middle of Nowhere”, “Ruby Blue” and “No Stranger”, while “Ruby Boots” contributed to The Waifs 2015 album “Beautiful You”). Bex returned to the property just four months later and the pair co-wrote The Waifs track “Blindly Believing”, the lead single from “Beautiful You” which premiered on All Songs Considered on NPR in America earlier this year.

With her dazzling upward trajectory continuing, Ruby Boots  plays a string of Australian dates before heading on to Asia and back to the USA. Catch her at the below shows.
