SAMANTHA FISH & JESSE DAYTON ANNOUNCE QUALITY LOCAL SUPPORT ACTS

Blues Arcadia, Sydney support for Samantha and Jesse

With just 6 weeks to go until Samantha Fish & Jesse Dayton hit our shores for the Death Wish Blues tour, Gerrard Allman Events is delighted to announce some amazing Australian artists who will be opening the duo’s headline shows.

SYDNEY: Three-time Australian Blues Music Award winners and Australian Roots Music Award nominees Blues Arcadia combine the legendary soul of Stax and Motown with the heat and power of the Chicago and Memphis blues to create a unique dirty-soul sound delivered with swagger, style, and sensitivity.  Sydney concert goers – you’re in for a treat when Blues Arcadia get the motors running @ Metro Theatre on May 16.

MELBOURNE: A love of the music of the deep south drew together three of Melbourne’s finest and produced something very special – Kerri Simpson, who has successfully traversed musical genres from gospel to country, dance and rock; Alison Ferrier, a prolific songwriter and talented lead guitarist; and drummer/percussionist Anthony Shortte, who is well known to Australian blues lovers and has brought his unique down-and-dirty grooves to a new level with Opelousas. The band will be at both Memo Music Hall (May 21) and Corner Hotel shows (May 25).

FREMANTLE: Lucky Oceans is a double Grammy Award winning pedal steel guitarist and co-founder of Asleep at the Wheel, and was the long-time presenter of the Daily Planet on Radio National.  Lucky, alongside David Milroy, will be opening proceedings in style @ Freo Social on May 22.

ADELAIDE: Ella & Sienna are singer-songwriters from the Adelaide Hills, and the multi-instrumentalist siblings bring together a unique blend of pop, country, and folk influences. Renowned for their formidable combination of soaring vocals, catchy pop hooks, and country inspired storytelling, Ella & Sienna create music with staying power.  Over the past two years, the sisters have performed on main stages at Tamworth CMF, Groundwater CMF, Gympie Muster and the Semaphore Music Festival to name a few.  Catch them @ The Gov on May 24.

Don’t miss – tickets on sale now.

About Samantha Fish and Jesse Dayton

Jesse Dayton has been bringing his unique mashup of East Texas/Louisiana Blues, old-school country, and punk rock to the world since his debut album in 1995. 13 records later, he remains a staple on Sirius XM’s Outlaw Country and the Americana Radio charts, where his debut LP, Raising Cain, reached #1.
