SEARCH 4 PEARLS SONG CONTEST ATTRACTS OVER 900 ENTRIES

Black Pearl is a relatively new but pro-active recording facility in Melbourne’s South Eastern suburbs. The studio recently closed entries on their Search 4 Pearls competition, a song contest open to artists nationally. After receiving more than 900 entires from all parts of Australia, the judges are now in deliberation mode, listening to just under a thousands songs between them to decide upon finalists. Categories being judged include; Under 18s [Group & Solo Entries], Best Solo: Acoustic / Country / Pop / Rock / Jazz / Classical, Best Band: Rock / Metal / Indie Alternative, Best Modern Group: Pop / Dance / Modern Music, Modern Music solo/duo: Hip hop / RnB / Electro / DJ Production, and Group Performance: Choir / Orchestra / Classical.  Shortlisted contestants will perform at a special industry only event on June 3, which will feature music identities and a catwalk-style fashion show. Prizes up for grabs in the Search 4 Pearls competition include a Roland keyboard, PreSonus Audiobox, Blackstar amp combo and much more. Black Pearl is a state of the art recording facility, frequented by leading Australian and overseas artists. It was also recently seen in the INXS telemovie.
