SUGAR MOUNTAIN LINE- UP ANNOUNCED

Dubbed as A Summit of Art and Music, Sugar Mountain, the progressive music and arts festival is back in 2015 (January 24), this time at a new, inner-city location – VCA (Victorian College of the Arts). After three successive years at The Forum, starting with the inaugural festival in 2011, in 2013 Sugar Mountain’s Tig Huggins, Pete Keen, Brett Louis and Nicci Reid partnered with Melbourne’s iconic Mushroom Group in order to realise their grand vision. Eighteen months in the making, Sugar Mountain 2015 returns with an offering that makes an immense step towards their ambitious vision laid out years ago.

Utilising 5 stages and the College of the Arts’ courtyards and surrounds, Sugar Mountain offers  an incredible line up of musicians and artists including;
NAS performs Illmatic: New York rapper Nasir Jones performs his breakthrough album Illmatic. Body/Head, the experimental noise guitar duo of Kim Gordon and Bill Nace. Plus ODESZA, Ariel Pink, Soul Clap, Horse Meat Disco, the legendary Swans, Baltimore electro wiz Dan Deacon, Terrible Love feat. Kirin J Callinan in a one-of show, The 2 Bears, Anthony Naples, How To Dress Well, Midnight Juggernauts MJX Pty Ltd, Bo Ningen, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Twerps, Dexter,  NO ZU + Sal P (Liquid Liquid), Chela, Banoffee, Oscar Key Sung x Cassius Select, Rat & Co, Slum Sociable, Wax’o Paradiso, LA Pocock, and Noise In My Head
Plus, there’s also some of the most influential, most experimental and most iconic artists on the planet: Leif Podhajsky, Hisham Bharoocha, Ash Keating, Abby Portner, Robin Fox, Nonotak, Johann Rashid,Cara Stricker x John Kirby, Keith Deverell, Ghostpatrol Sean Morris, Cornelius Brown, Poppy Lane, and Confetti System.

A capping capacity of 5,500 tickets means your comfort and enjoyment is assured and organisers have teamed up with notable Melbourne restaurants and bars to whet your appetite.
