Ahead of their A Day On The Green Shows with Hoodoo Gurus, Violent Femmes, Died Pretty and Ratcat, the Sunnyboys will release their 2nd official live album, Best Seat In The House on February 27.

Front-Cover-300dpiRecorded at the Enmore Theatre, Sydney on March 2015. Best Seat… sees the band in blistering form playing with as much energy and vitality as the band that inspired such a fanatical following all those years ago. Tracks include live favourites Tunnel Of Love, I’m Shakin’ and The Seeker plus the hits Happy Man, Show Me Some Discipline, You Need A Friend, Alone With You and more. It’s a perfect testament to band that was, and still are, truly in their element when playing live.

Individually all four members of Sunnyboys are in career-best form. Guitarists Richard Burgman and Jeremy Oxley – two of Australia’s greatest ever proponents of the craft – expand on their original brief bringing new vigor to old tunes; Burgman providing the ragged glory to tracks like Individuals, Show Me Some Discipline and The Seeker while Jeremy brings nuance and control to No Love Around and You Need A Friend and garage-licks to Tomorrow Will Be Fine. Meanwhile the flawless performance of bassist Peter Oxley and drummer Bil Bilson bring precision, power and melody to songs already bursting at the seams with the stuff! Touring keyboardist Alister Spence also makes his presence felt; his work on The Stooge a highlight. And then there are those harmonies…

The 15 song / 60+ minute disc comes in an impressive gatefold sleeve complete with the stunning photography of Sunnyboy offspring Lucinda Bilson and includes a fold-out poster pin-up; perfect for those garages, office cubicles and rear toilet doors the country over.
