While announcing their participation in some July European G3 shows along with Steve Vai and Joe Satriani, The Aristocrats have also mentioned an Asia and Australian tour of their own.
In a press release posted to social media, almost as an after-thought, the band tagged the end of the G3 news with the following;
“We also meant to make the official announcement of our Asia/Australia tour for September and October at this time, but the G3 news broke hard and fast, so we’re focusing on that for this week. If you’re still reading, consider this official bonus information: We’re touring Asia and Australia in September and October! Four Japanese dates are confirmed, as is the Australia time block (early October). We’ll make a separate splash about that next week or so. For now, we’ll trust that this G3 news is big enough.”
It is unknown if Satriani and Vai are also likely to visit Australia at the same time. However, at this point no tour dates feature on either artist’s website beyond the July European dates.
The Aristocrats feature: Marco Minnemann [drums], Bryan Beller [bass], and Guthrie Govan [guitar]. Guthrie Govan was last in Australia in 2014 for a series of masterclasses and an appearance at the Adelaide Guitar Festival
We’ll bring you more information as it comes to hand.
