Palm Beach is a wonderful new Australian film, directed by critically acclaimed filmmaker, Rachel Ward and celebrates a lineup of both Australian and International stars, Bryan Brown, Greta Scacchi, Sam Neill, Jacqueline Mackenzie, Heather Mitchell, and Academy Award Nominee Richard E Grant.
Set in Sydney’s iconic Northern Beaches, Palm Beach is a heartwarming story which sees a group of lifelong friends with a lifetime of history reunite for one very special occasion. The good times roll in one of Australia’s most idyllic settings, with loads of laughter, lavish meals, flowing wine and music. However not all is smooth sailing as slowly tensions begin to mount and deep secrets arise, posing questions about the rich history this group once shared.
Integral to the success of the movie is the fabulous soundtrack which features many classic hits we all know as well as a bunch of tracks from band of the moment, The Teskey Brothers. One of the highlights of both the soundtrack and the film itself is the inclusion of a new track, ‘Fearless’ by James Reyne, which is intricately woven into the plot of the film and features James’ unmistakable, instantly recognizable vocal over a sun-tinged, feel-good, bouncing rhythm evoking good times.
