Thomas Lang & Virgil Donati to headline the Sydney Drum & Percussion Show. Australian Musician and D’Addario Australia are thrilled to bring you two of the biggest names in the drumming world!
Thomas Lang has headlined almost every major international drum festival in the world and has toured the globe many times as a solo artist. As a session musician he played for artists such as Robert Fripp, Peter Gabriel, Asia, Nik Kershaw, Tina Turner, Robbie Williams, Kelly Clarkson, Ronan Keating, and George Michael to name just a few. However, this will mark the first time he’s performed a dual performance with arguably our country’s most successful drumming export EVER … Virgil Donati.
Since the mid-nineties Virgil Donati has been a household name, performing and touring with the likes of Tommy Emmanuel, Steve Vai and Allan Holdsworth, while also maintaining a busy schedule as a band leader and member of numerous recording and touring bands. Both are incredible solo artists, educators, composers, writers and producers in their own right and are inarguably two of the most versatile drumming virtuosos in the world.
We are incredibly proud and excited to bring them together for the first time in a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see them on the same stage at the same time.
