Motorhead’s Lemmy will be honoured with a Bass Player Lifetime Achievement Award at the Musicians Institute in Hollywood as part of Bass Player Magazine’s 8th annual event (Nov 8&9). Lemmy has just recovered from a lung infection which threatened to blow out the band’s touring schedule for the remainder of the year. However the band is back on track and will be touring through Europe until the end of February. Also being honoured on the night will be Nathan East and a posthumous award presented to the family of the late Louis Johnson. The two day celebration of bass includes exhibits by top gear manufacturers and clinics by world-class bassists including Nathan East and Ben Kenney of Incubus. An All-Star Concert & Awards Show will be held on the evening of the 7th.
